Okay here it is:

Travel Agency: Triple A/Pleasant: C: I graded them kind of low becuase they made many mistakes all the way up to the week we were leaving but I will not dwell. I just will not use them again for travel.

Alaska Air: A-: They would have got an A but they cancelled flights making us all leave way too early from resort. Aside from that, they were very pleasant about letting me and bridal party hang dresses in closets. They also did not charge some fees for extra baggage and they gave me and DH mimosas during flight. That was great. They also had great sandwiches to eat.

Transfer Company: Terramar A: They were time for all pick ups and were helpful with luggage etc.. Their vans were also very nice. The assigned agnet, Veronica was very nice. She seemed a little frazzled at first because there were alot of us but she was helpful and always available to us.

Dreams Resort: A+: : This place is gorgeous. The pools are stunning, the color scheme is beautiful and everything is immaculate. We were all impressed. I loved our honeymoon suite (thank you Tammy Host & Yesica). It was huge and it had a great pool and beach view. Since we stayed extra nights we had to be moved but the room was still nice and spacious. My dad had some plumbing issues with his room but this issues was resolved quickly. I loved the food and so did all the other guests. The only bad food was at the Japanese place but it was only the tempura plates. The sushi rolls, teriyaki chicken and beef were all delicious. Oceana had the best ceviche and DH loved their dinner options. Seaside grill had traditional food like meat, chicken ribs. Portofino was great. They had good house wine and the place was just beautiful. El Patio was good too becuase it was buffet and switched themes nightly. I loved mexican Fiesta night. They had great pozole and chicken mole. I think all loved the room service food. It was very good. You all have to have the chicken chilaquiles and the tortilla soup. Yum!

I think the staff really makes this place outstanding. As far as the drinks go, they were good. Some guests got pretty toasty and I really liked their daily drinks. I loved their sodas because they have more sugar than here. hee! hee! With the exception of one waiter one who obviously was in a bad mood, all waiters, bartenders, bellboys, maid staff, concierge staff, entertainent staff, and reception staff were very pleasant. They spoiled us! They were always smiling and eager to attend to your needs. Our favorite staff people: Pepe, Cruz, Raul, Yesica, Gerrardo, Victor, Paulina, Miguel and Daniel.

Suzanne Morel: A+: She has a great staff. They are quick and make you look beautiful. They are also very friendly. The cooridnator, Toya left a box in my room and when she came to pick it up the day after wedding; she brought a nice postcard with gatorades. They are pricy but so worth it it!

WC Vari Avila of Allure Event Design: A: I have to admit I got nervous about her because other brides had some bad luck with her. She had not responed to some emails timely so I was doubting, but honestly, she was great!!! I am so glad I hired her. She was on it. She really worked with me and was super helpful the day of rehearsal dinner and wedding day. She has a very friendly and calm demeanor so she puts you at ease. She knew almost everyone's names by the end of the wedding and she was always walking around discreetly to make sure everything was going well. All my guests had all nice comments about her and what I liked the most is that she stayed until the end of event . Her assistant was great too. I was truly relaxed on my wedding day because of those two. I recommend her to all!

Dreams WC, Yesica Garcia: A:: I know she is late with emails but she is such a hard worker! She is super sweet and very acommodating as well. She worked well with Vari and remembered all my requests. She helped me with wedding package bill which I was anxious about and I did not know this but she usually has Sundays off, but came in because my wedding fell on a Sunday. I really liked her.

Photographer: Gilda Badillo: I can't grade her yet because I'm waiting for pics but she was super nice and funny! I think she got the main poses and she even took pics over if people requested.

Flowers: Cabo Flowers: A+: They have gorgeous flowers. The shade of red they used was perfect. I only wished I could have brought them home with me. The centerpieces were perfect. I'm hoping Gilda got a great shot of those.

DJ: Alex: A-: He played all songs I requested but he did not mix it up as much as I wanted but everyone was danicng so I guess that is all that matters. He was super nice though and gave us a copy of the cd he played throughout the night.

The Wedding on Beach & Cacada Terrace: A+: The Day was sunny and hot. My poor hubby was sweating. Rev.Marco Archiega was super!!!! He delivered a beautiful ceremony and was so plesant overall. He took his time and personalized our readings. His words were so touching that I cried like a baby during my vows. Everyone was in tears too so I say his ceremony was perfect. The Trio played romantic music and really made it a nice ambiance. The wedding staff was great. They had beverages ready for all guests before and after ceremony and immediatley had champagne for me and DH as soon as we walked off sand.

Reception food was delicious!!!!! I ate some taquitos that were left over from cocktail time and they were great and the chile stuffed with tuna hit the spot! What I really loved was the special drink they had for our wedding. Since my color scheme was red, they had sangria with a flag in it pesonalized with our names. This was unexpected and I was so happy with this detail. As far as the main dishes for wedding, the meat was tender and the fish had great flavor. I think everyone loved the dessert which was like a yogurt with tropical fruit in a caramel pastry dish. The cake was simple but classic and was fairly tasty but I think everyone was full from the dessert. As far as the location; Cascada was perfect because there were really no guests around and I felt like we were all alone. We got to dance until 10:30pm because hotel occupancy was low but even after dancing was over we moved into Desires which was super fun!!!

Extra Things: I liked our reharsal dinner at El Patio. It was semi-private but really no one was eating when we were there. They had good buffet food and Vari hired a maricahi band which was great!! When it was over, went to Desires for Karaoke night and we all had a blast!!!!!

My dad also paid for a romantic dinner on beach for me and DH. This was so nice and the food was just top of the line. It was really romantic and really made our honeymoon even nicer.

Okay so I think I covered all. If I missed things ask away! I will post pics now!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
