Once we get the email with the links to the pictures I'll post them! I've been slacking because I don't want to have to upload them to photobucket and then post here...I know lazy!

It makes me a little nervous but EVERYONE says that the communication when doing a destination wedding isn't great but at the end everyone pulls through. Ahhh yaya!
She didnt ask for my deposit until about a month before the wedding. They are limited with how much they can get in their paypal account so they can only take so many deposits/payments a month. So dont be surprised if she doesnt ask for deposit until November.

Severine and Francoise are really, really busy. They often shoot for 8 hours a day and then go home and edit. We had them last week -- wedding was Wednesday and we had everything by Saturday before we left AND her work was amazing! Much better than some of the cheesy ones the resort photographer provide. Plus, she arrived early and stayed late, gave us more pictures than the package we asked for. As for the deposit, sometimes she is unable to get it because she has a limit on her paypal account. I never did give her a deposit, just paid in full on the day. One last thing, the internet is not very reliable in the Punta Cana/Bavaro - any bad weather can shut the net down for 2 days and it is slow at its best. Be patient - when planning a dominican wedding, be on dominican time. You'll hear "5 minutes" ALOT down there! Really means 2 hours!

For any brides worrying about Photosouvenir, stop worrying lol!! They are awesome!! Severine took the most amazing shots, created the most beautiful slideshow (brought me to tears), and gave me pretty much everything before I left. I know they are veryyyy busy and they are perfectionists so need to worry. When I get my bearings and get my pics organized I will learn how to post them. Photosouvenir does a great mix of candid and traditional photos. What I really loved about Severine is that she did not stop us during the ceremony and the reception for photos..she did everything candid and so many are awesome. I did not feel like I had a photographer on my back the whole night. I felt relaxed. To me, that is very important especially after you do your 1 1/2 hr photo shoot with the bridal party, family, and just the two of us, I liked that we did not have any more pressure. She also did a ridiculously amazing Trash the Dress session!!! I highly recommend Photosouvenir!

I'd love to find out if they are even available, but I can't get a response from their website. From everyone's advice, I guess I'll wait a little bit more. I really wanted them, but I'm WAY too nervous to wait and then find out the other photographers who have gotten back to us are booked!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
