Any MOH or brisedmaids trying to slim down?

I am so cotton picking crabby this morning! We had a thunderstorm at like 2am and my hubbyâ€s dog went nuts. Running up and down the steps. As if that wasnâ€t bad enough, she woke up the 2 year old so I was up with her for about 20 minutes until she settled down. My 5 year old was in his room whining but the 15 year old soothed him thank goodness! Needless to say, when my alarm went off at 4:30am I did NOT get my AM workout in and now I feel like smile116.gif because I didn't get my workout in. I always feel like superwoman when I get a workout in before work during the week. I was in bed early and everything! I got on the scale and it stayed the same but I'm not fretting. My eating hasn't been 100% as good as it could have been so I'm just gonna have to knuckle up and work harder at this thing! My jeans are much more loose than they have been in a few months so I'm happy about that!

I hope everyone else is doing well with their weight loss goals...

i'm writing with my update of the day as well. Desihue: sorry about the thunderstorm. Rough nights are the worst!!! I am so sick of the rain!! Last night I was exhausted and did not want to work out AT ALL. thankfully my FI convinced me that I'd feel better knowing I went to the gym....and I did! I ran 3 miles straight which I haven't done since college!! I was so proud of myself.

I still havent gotten on a scale because I we don't have one in our new place. I ate really healthy though and am feeling great. Problem is I have plans tonight and can't work out.....I'm trying to find the motivation to go in the AM like you desihue!

Desihue, Sorry for the rough night. Get some rest tonight and work out tomorrow instead. I totally understand what you mean about superwoman. The best feeling in the world is a post run high for me.

Good news for me though. I measured myself and I've lost 9 inches off my chest, waist, and hips. My clothes are definitely fitting better.

Go Josie!!

Iâ€m so glad to see your update in this thread. Iâ€m so proud of your for listening to your FI and heading to the gym; there is nothing more important than to have the support at home. My hubby and I stay on one another to eat tight and exercise.

And you ran 3 miles Click the image to open in full size.

Personally I canâ€t stand scales because if the number is not what I want to see it bums me out but it also keeps me accountable BECAUSE I donâ€t want to see a bad number. *LOL*

On the days when I know Iâ€m not able to exercise like I want/need to, I make sure my eating is 100% on target. Iâ€m sure youâ€ll be just fine. Keep up the great work. I plan to go to the grocery store this evening. I have several menus planned out already so the hard part is already done.

EXACTLY!!! When I get that AM workout out of the way, that "high" stays with me like all day. Then when I top that of with a PM workout I sleep so peacefully. I'm going to do my grocery shopping tonight and start fresh tomorrow.

9 inches eh??Click the image to open in full size. Gotta love that! Keep up the great job. I love it when the clothes start getting loose.

I used to work in Retail at IKEA, if you know what it is, in the Returns Dept. I'd work out in the morning and no angry, rude customer could get to me. On top of the energy all day! It was great!!!

I'm so glad for the support everyone shows on here! My fiance is sad that I'm losing weight. He likes me the way I am. blah.gif I need to do it for my health if nothing else. This is the most support I'm going to get! LOL

ohhhhh yeah! We have IKEA stores here and they are ALWAYS busy so I can just imagine what the returns dept must have been like for you. The energy is so awesome. I work in collections so you KNOW I need all of the "stay calm" vibes I can get. My hubby is happy I am losing. He was happy with me when I was bigger but he likes the smaller me better *his words*
I am doing this for my health, and sanity. I have been carrying around baby weight from each baby for too long now. My oldest is 15...geez! I'm ready to have a waistline again; and keep it because I'm done having babies. (smile)
Not only that but I feel more confident in the sexy stuff we got from our wedding and anniversaries over the years. It's a self esteem thing for me.

I just realized you're from Mich! I worked at the Ikea there. I moved to Nashville about 2 years ago.

My fiance said "You were too skinny when we met" I was a size 10/12 and weight about 160, which is the upper limit for my BMI. I look best at a size 8. He's gonna die when I get down to 150. I wanna be able to prance around in a 2 piece on the beach in St. Thomas and feel confident doing it!

Okay so you KNOW how crazy the store is here in the Mitten. *LOL* I didn't go inside there for almost 6months after it opened because of the crowds and it's STILL like that most of the time even now. The store does have some really nice things though. I have always been a skinny chick and then the babies started coming. I gained the most weight with the middle child.
60+ pounds to be exact. I lost about 30 after he was born and then tried to make peace with the post baby weight but secretly I was miserable and super self conscious. I was terrified to wear half the stuff I got at my shower. *LOL* After the baby girl was born in 2006 and I was in 18â€s that were cutting off my circulation (because it should have been a size 20) I decided I had to do something. Hubby had gained weight while I was preggo too and his arches were falling in his feet from his weight gain. I have never been confident enough to wear a two piece in my adult life so 40 is going to be my liberating year to do just that! Iâ€m so excited!
I look marvelous in a 7/8 but I want to see if I can get into a size 6. 3 babies and wearing a size 6?? I will feel so empowered when I make that goal!

I worked there from day 1 of opening! It was INSANE! If you want to get shopping done there, go during the week days. It's pretty dead. Sunday is good for shopping, not returning things though. I love their textiles and kids stuff!

I was pudgy, not fat until about 18, then I was skinny girl til about 22 when I met my fiance. I'm hoping to get back to skinny girl and stay that way. If I do get back to a size 8 (any smaller and I look sickly), I'm going to walk around my house naked all the time LOL

All my friends that have children packed on the baby weight and all 3 are working like crazy to lose it.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
