First attempt at finding a dress! No luck.... ***PICS***

Recommended Posts

Hi ladies,

Even though I had no luck today at David's Bridal in upstate New York, I thought I'd share pics anyways because, after all, we are self-proclaimed picture wh*res. That is my mama in the background taking the pictures, lol. Also, please excuse the quality of my old digital camera. And my pale white, pasty skin. Thank god summer is upon us!!!!!

This was the first time I have been shopping for my wedding dress so I tried on all different ones to try and get a sense of what I like and don't like.

After looking back through these, I think the ball gown looks best . It was what one the lady helping picked for me!

Anyways, feel free to let me know what you think. I am normally super picky and none of these really screamed "I am the one!". I really hope something will eventually jump out at me and I will just know I have to have it.

I like the first but its definitely ok to not have found the right dress. there were certain things I loved the first time I went shopping and from then on wanted to find a dress that had those qualities. Did you find anything you liked about the dresses you tried on? For example I LOVED ruching at least on top on the mamas if not down my body. Which is down my body on "the" dress

Aawww, you looked SO PRETTY in all of them! I really thought dress #1 was gorgeous on you and totally flattering, but I loved the way the ball gown made you look just like Cinderella!

As someone who's already purchased one dress and is now reconsidering it (and looking to buy a more formal gown) I would just encourage you to take your time and try on as many dresses as necessary to find what feels like you've found the dress that was MADE for YOU! It's out there...it just may take some time and a little patience to find it, that's all!

Good luck and keep the pics coming! :)

i just went dress shopping for the 1st time on friday. it's overwhelming. i have pictures of me too in dresses i liked and they are all completely different styles. i have no idea how i am going to make up mind either. it def helps having the photos to look at.

keep in mind how you feel, and where you are getting married when you choose the dress. if you want the big princess dress, go for it.

you look beautiful in all the dresses.

I think #1 looks amazing on you! They all actually look great, once you figure out what it is you want and get that feeling you won't have any troubles because they all seem to suit you well! You still have time, keep looking and you'll find exactly what you are looking for :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
