Dreams Palm Beach?

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies! I just returned from my wedding and honeymoon in Punta Cana! I promise to write a review and post some pics by week's end! We got married at Dreams Palm Beach and LOVED this resort and had a beautiful, amazing beach wedding! To answer some of your questions, we had a legal ceremony and it was at 4pm - so not just mornings, but it does depend on the judge's availability. We were married on a Friday. I didn't use Tropical Pictures but saw some of their work around the resort and it looked good! I thought they had a good selection for flowers, as well. I chose white roses but I believe she said they could do roses in any color, and they had other selections of tropical flowers, too. If you have any other immediate questions please email me at bovkim@gmail.com

Be back soon!

Kim

Hey Kim! I can't wait to hear about your wedding and see the photos! I am so glad you loved the resort. We are getting married there in June of next year and I am so excited...but sometimes when I read negative reviews on tripadvisor, I start to get worried. So I think hearing about your wonderful experience will make me feel better! Looking forward to reading your review and seeing your photos!!!! Yay!

First, I see that I, along with many DPB brides want to see pics of the loction. Chelymo, you said that the WC sent you pics. Would you mind sending them to me @ dpennesq@yahoo.com? That would help a-lot. Second, does anyone know who the photographer at DPB is? And has anyone seen their work? I'm debating as to whether I should hire my own photographer, I want awsome pictures and haven't been getting a-lot of answers from the resort. Last, can anyone tell me about the flower choices? I want to make sure they have options that match my decor. PLEASE HELP!!!! Thanks!
The photographer at the resort is called Tropical Photos (or something like that). If you email Melani (WC), she will send you the different photo packages. I found them to be on the expensive side. I have decided to go with HDC photo. I really like their photos and they have very reasonable prices. Photosouvenir looked good too, but they were already booked for my date. Melani will aslo email you pics of different bouquet choices. However, because the resort is new, they don't have tons of pics yet, so I think she only sent me like 3 or 4 photos. Hope this helps!

Congratulations to all the brides-to-be! My fiance and I are getting married at Dreams Palm Beach on May 7, 2010 at 1:30 in the afternoon. We too were a little concerned with having an early afternoon wedding, because we aren't sure yet as to what we'll do to pass the time with our 30-40 guests. Hopefully we'll be able to figure something out that will be fun for everyone. We're in the process of deciding on a wedding package and getting some info/pics from Melani the WC down there. If anyone has any pics or extra info especially if you've been married there recently, it will be a great help.

You can e-mail me at roxannechante@hotmail.com.

Thanks a lot, and congratulations again to you all!

I have officially confirmed my date with Dreams Punta Cana, but I will keep updated on this thread, as I really did enjoy my time at Dreams Palm Beach, and would love to share any information that people need!
Hi, I am new to this site and noticed some valuable wedding info for the DPB. My Fiance and I have booked our trip and have confirmed our wedding date and time for Feb 26, 2010 @ 12:00pm. I was just wondering if you have received any more info back from Melani about opting out of the "Private" Dinner? Thanks and Congrats to you! cheesy.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
