Thank you! Yes, the flowers are from the resort. We went with the Ultimate wedding package and added 5 bridesmaid bouquets and 6 hair flowers to it. I showed Leticia a picture of what I wanted and she nailed it! Everything was so beautiful and turned out better than expected. Here is a link to photos from the resort photographers: http://millerresortwedding.shutterfly.com/

They really turned out beautifully, with the exception of a few closed eyes in the pictures :-)

Question to all the brides who have already married (or visited) DPB: Are the restaurants air-conditioned? I've recently come across a few reviews that say there is no A/C in any of the restaurants!!! huh.gif  At first, I thought no way this is a luxury resort in a year-round tropical climate... but, there several reviews from different ppl at different times. (My 2nd thought was maybe A/C was out for a couple of days at resort).  Can someone PLEASE shed some light on this as FI is NO WAY getting married anywhere that does not have central air (or at least some kind of blowers).

This is a really good question! Come to think of it I don't believe there would be AC in any of the 'open' restaurants like the Seaside grill. These are pretty much open to the elements but we were never uncomfortable in any of the restaurants. They MUST have AC in the indoor ones because the Himatsu grill would have been smoking hot with the tepanyaki tables. I would just email the resort concierge and they could tell you.

Oh that is coming up soon!  Make sure ya let us know how it goes :)  Have you planned out a lot or you more of a go with the flow kind of bride?  Does the resort send you any more information then what is available after you confirmed and deposit? Like pictures of cakes, flowers etc you choose from?  My deposit went through but I never got a confirmation email, I need to put my deposit down now on the Vacation package.

Hey - My wedding is April 20....I am pretty much planned. Awilda sent me a package of info about 4 weeks ago - with spa menus, additional options, bouquet and centerpiece options - it was all the info I needed. I think I have everything sorted - and whatever is not sorted I can take care of when we meet Awilda 3 days before the wedding. I am getting super excited!! I have also sent her a few pics of cakes and flowers that I like to give her more guidance. I will likely print everything off myself before I go down - just to make sure!!

Have you emailed them about your confirmation? It does take a week or so - I called down to make sure my date was confirmed before I told my guests to pay a deposit - they were really easy to talk to and the long distance charge wasn't even that bad!!

Hope this helps!

The facebook Dreams palm beach brides page is aloso really helpful - you should check it out!

I am definitely a more go with the flow kind of bride!!  lol.  I figured there is no real point in getting super stressed over little details that really will not make or break the wedding day.  Once I got my confirmation email with the contact info for my wedding coordinator I sent a request for pics of the cakes and flowers.  But from what I have read there are a ton more pics once you actually get to the resort and have your meeting.  So I am just doing the wedding there and then heading over to the Jellyfish restaurant for our cocktail hour and reception.  It was more reasonable than the resort (unless you just have a small dinner at one of the restaturants) and thought it would be nice to give our guests a different change of scenery.  :)

But I will be sure to post pics of the resort and wedding once I get back.  So much to do...been slacking in the OOT bag department so that is my goal for this week.  :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
