Dreams Palm Beach?

Recommended Posts

Hey ladies...

Just wondering if any of you had/are planning to do your cake/champagne right after your ceremony (before dinner)?  I am asking this because we are going to the Jellyfish Restaurant for the reception but since the cake is included in the free package I would rather do that then pay for another one at the reception.  Any feedback would be great!  :)  I asked Leticia if I could and she said we could arrange it but I would want a covered area to give my guests a break from the sun since we are having a beach wedding.  Then maybe just have a sweet/candy table at the reception..

Thanks!

Carrie

Ok ladies, I need help! My wedding is at DPB in about 3 weeks. I'm a little stressed now because I have been receiving emails responses back from two different wedding coordinators and they both give me different answers. Does anyone know if the drinks that come with the buffet package include a 3 hour reception? I'm doing the gold buffet with a beach reception, but I'm not sure if I have to pay the $12 pp per hour also for the reception.

Drinks do come included with the buffet packages for up to 20 people. You have to pay extra for the buffet/drinks for any number over that. I think it's $30 per person or something like that. I did email Melani about the drinks a while back and she said that drinks are included during the dinners and cocktail hours. I can forward you that email if you would like.

Hey Dreams Palm Beach brides. I just booked my wedding for July 4th, 2012 :)! I have a quick question for you guys. I heard from my TA today that you cannot combine the free wedding with the group rates. Does anyone know if that is true? I am having my reception at the jellyfish and now I am debating just moving my wedding there as well since it would be cheaper to go there to do it. I just really love the gazebo idea at dreams instead of on the beach at jellyfish.

Hi ladies!

We're getting married at Dreams Palm Beach April 2012 and the resort is absolutely amazing. It's much better than Majestic (the food and service, for sure). I love how 'boutique' it feels. Also, it's a ways away from other resorts and you don't get vendors bothering you on the beach. I was just there recently, you can check out some pictures here: http://www.katyanovablog.com/dreams-palm-beach-jellyfish-wedding-punta-cana-mc/

My fiancee & I want to have a sunrise ceremony there, so we'll go there next month to stay for a couple of days and see how everything is! Let me know if there's anything you want me to find out for you :)

Congrats to you all!

Katya.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
