Thanks for telling me which salon and that you did your own makeup. Looks like most brieds do their own makeup eh? I guess it's the safest way to go ... LOL.

Calling UK Brides! Help with legal bits and documents!

Hi,

I have just been to speak to first choice travel agents about our 2013 Dreams Palm Beach Dom Rep wedding plans.

Have asked them about minimum residency in the country before wedding and they've said 5 days??! Any other brides who have found this? What did you do about guests staying for 1 week? Anyone know if Thomas Cook offer less than 5 days min. residence before wedding for the same resort?

Also, am now a bit worried about translating our documents. Could anyone tell me what they paid and which company/solicitor they used?

Thank you, feeling a bit confused after all this! x

I also want to add that our Wedding Coordinator, Leticia, was great. These women are busy and they do take a while to respond back so be patient and email with enough time. When we met with her at the resort she seemed very quiet and serious, probably just shy. She handled the wedding details accurately and for our cocktail and reception she went above and beyond decorating the spaces. She added things one would normally have to pay extra for, but what I gathered is that they will go out of their way to make sure that everything looks beautiful. We had a crazy and hectic day with the resort salon taking me an hour later than my appointment and horrible thundering wet weather... but the one thing I could vouch for is that everything LOOKED amazing. So try not to worry, I know its difficult, but your day WILL turn out beautifully and even more so if you enjoy the moment.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
