Dreams Palm Beach?

Recommended Posts

OMG, this is such good news!! I was so worried about this - and now they have removed the day pass fee, this is even better!

So now I have a question for all you Canadian brides booking with this resort. Have any of you had a hard time with the Early Booking Bonuses they have been launching? My TA keeps coming back with great prices, only we have like 5 days to pay the balance in full. This is crazy -- I have 30+ guests coming and there is no way we can pay this balance in full by March 29th!!! So I want to know what are your TAs quoting you and are you having to pay in full with a notice of less than 2 weeks??? I'm stressing out over this. :(

Hello! I'm in the planning stages and trying to decide between Dreams Palm Beach and Majestic Elegance, but I haven't received any information from DPB yet. I'm wondering if anyone knows this: If we book a wedding package that includes the cocktail hour and a silver or gold menu dinner, are those functions private? Also, if we opted to have the dinner on the beach or pool area is it mandatory to pay the buffet fee of $35+ per person or is that included somehow? Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much :)

I am using Air Canada Vacations (ACV). We booked Oct. 2010 and are getting married Oct. 2011. The TA told us in Oct 2010 that final payt was due by March 29 or so as it has to be rec`d by ACV by Apr 1, 2011 (6 months before wedding). We got a group rate (not sure if that is what you are calling the Early Booking Bonus) which expires for Apr. 1. Others can still come on board after Apr 1 but the price goes up by about $600.

I have mine all booked at DPB. Yes, if yiou choose the silver or gold package it is private. You can have your Silver or Gold package dinner on the beach or by the pool - it is not an extra price. The buffet is extra...so if you choose one of the packages (which is not a buffet by the way) dinner at the location of your choice is included.

ok if you buy the silver package it can be the silver buffet and is included.  all outside receptions are buffett only! you do not pay fee unless you want to upgrade to a nicer buffett, they have silver which is included and gold is more depending on your package.  I hope this helps, also myself and i think a few other brides opted to not pay for the package deals because they included alot of stuff i didnt want or need.  we chose an outside photographer so that was the main reason.  when i sat down and wrote prices for everything i wanted with as many guests as i have it was much cheaper, you may want to do it that way. you can still purchase the silver or gold dinner which will give you the reception. hope this helps.

My TA has quoted us at $1460 as the early booking bonus which is due in full payment by March 29th, or we end up paying $400 above that price so $1800!!! That just seems crazy to me!! Hopefully she comes back to me with better prices or I'll be shopping for a new TA. =S

Hello ladies,

Regarding quotes for the Canadian brides, my quote is actually much lower, at around $1150, but it might be because of my date being in December, we're travelling December 3 - 10, 2011 and flying out of Toronto. However, in terms of EBB, the same applies, I'm having everyone pay by April 1st in order to get that deal.

The prices vary...I have people flying out of Mtl, TO, Calgary and Vancouver and each is about $100 difference in price. Van is the most expensive and Mtl. the least...Mtl came in at about $1,085 plus tax & insurance (totally just over $1,400 pp).  Re: packages (Silver, gold). If you purchase a package it is a set menu where you select one main entree and it is a plated dinner. From there you can upgrade to the buffet which offers many more selections and is an additional cost. Or if you pass on the packages, you can simply choose the buffet (different types/levels) from the start and pay per person. Hope that clears it up for you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
