I also was stuck between the Paradisus and Dreams resorts and ultimately chose Dreams Palm Beach. Paradisus was a little more expensive and didn't seem to have as many options as Dreams. Dreams Palm Beach is also about 20 minutes from the airport vs. 1 hour or so for Paradisus. I'm very happy with our choice.

Did you mean expensive for the guests? Or their wedding packages are more expensive?

I meant both. It was a lot more expensive for the guests and us from what their wedding coordinator and our travel agent, and our own research, was able to tell us.

I was trying to decide between Paradisus and DPB originally before deciding on DPB. Friends of ours went to a wedding at the Paradisus last summer and they said it was beautiful but the food was herendous. Since most of my guests including myself will be staying an entire week, I could not choose the Paradisus if they had bad food. We also got engaged at our friends wedding last summer at the Dreams in Cancun. We were very happy with everything so we chose Dreams in DR. I did prefer the Wedding beach set up at the Paradisus but I'm confident my wedding will be everything I wanted at DPB.

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!

      Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else.
