My TTD Shopping Story with PICS...

Recommended Posts

So I went back and forth about if I should wear my wedding dress or not for the TTD session. My mom isn't ablt to go to Jamaica, but she will be coming to our AHR, so I really didn't want to wear my wedding dress for the TTD, so I started looking for another dress.

I wanted something similar to my wedding dress and came accross a halter which is like my wedding dress, of course I didn't have the money at the time to buy it. So I continued to check on it online and after that first time I saw it, it was never available in ivory again. The only colors available were red and blue. I was devestated. I went to Dillards to see if they carry it in the store and they carried Betsey & Adams dresses, but not the ivory halter I was looking for.

I didn't know what to do, so I put it on the back burner for awhile. I came accross a VS catalog and saw a cotton long white halter dress for $39 I decided to get it as I knew if it woudn't work for the TTD that I could wear it to dinner one night. I bought the dress, and loved it. After I tried the dress on I knew I couldn't wear it in the water because it was cotton, but I decided to wear the cotton dress for y AHR since it is more casual and wear my actual wedding dress to trash. I felt good with the decision I made and then...

I happened to be going through my favorite websites and I said, let me delete this since I have it worked out now, but I'll check one last time and what did you know, the dress was available in only ivory and in my size...

I was excited...I just got it today and love it :0)

Sorry for the long story but I wanted you ladies to know that patience is a virtue.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
