I think thats a great Idea. I would be totally on board with it! Maybe you could expand it to include "Work Related Issues" where people can voice their problems, advice, etc. Or maybe "Decorating Thread" for those who move and want to redo their homes. A "Health Issues" section. Or those bold enough a "Married Life" section where you can vent about issues. Some of these would have to remain private obviously.

But its a great idea to stay in touch!

hi angela,

i actually have something in mind where each member gets their own blog that will be attached to their profile...the software makers told me it would be ready late december but obviously they are behind...the beta version is out BUT i do not want to add it to the forum until all the bugs are worked out.

just a thought

I love the "In-Law" and "Married Life" thread suggestions! I also like the idea of access being allowed once you hit your marriage date because it is something to look forward to. Maybe a "DIY" section on home decor---- God knows there's enough of us who like to tackle projects on our own that we could really supply some good home re-model/decor ideas...

I think this is a great idea. I really think you should add a thread that discusses issues when moving in together and issues that ladies run into. I know some girls out there currently don't live with your significant others and it might be a shock when they find out how living with someone can be different/difficult.

we have a "martha stewart wannabees" for home/cooking etc.

and other forums at the bottom that are not wedding related: venting, random thoughts, etc.

Great idea! Other topics I can think of...

House related (buying a house, or decorating- like others have mentioned)

Finances (if/how to combine them, how to budget, how to invest, etc)

Relationship oriented (ya know, how to keep that newlywed spark alive even when you have to clean pee off the toilet seat?!?!)

definitely an In-laws or family thread and a TTC/Prego thread...

That's all I can really think of for now!

I haven't been here long so don't think I have much pull, but I would recommend against putting to many off topic forums. For example, Have a look at wedding bells and there's hardly any wedding related forums anymore, it's overrun with too many off topic forums, imo.

I don't even bother with "check new posts" there because there's hardly any wedding related posts there!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
