I was thinking of giving all the ladies attending my bridal shower a liquid hand soap from Bath & Body Works (from their aromatherapy line). They are on sale 2 for $10 and I have a coupon. I hate favors that aren't practical...(I'm horrible for saying that I've thrown some out the same day I received them, LOL)...but, I figure everyone washes their hands and hopefully uses soap! I would put them in organza bags (they're online for 12 cents a piece!) and tie each with a ribbon. To spend even less, their antibacterial collection is $3 each and I'd get the coconut lime, reminds me of the beach and vacation! What do you ladies think?

I think that is a good idea. I too love to give useful and practical gifts. And most people love anything from batha nd body works. I know I do and sodo my friends! Maybe add a hand cream or one of those combo hand sanitizers with cream.

I think it is a cute idea.

My bridemaids ended up using bath and body works products along with some chocolates as the prizes for the games.

Is it typical for the bride to give favors at the bridal shower or the host?

It should be 'from the host' -- but a bride could purchase them, and not take the 'credit' -- i mean, as the bride, we get a ton of great gifts to take home.

I think the soaps are a great idea!

i love the idea - i hosted a bridal shower and i got handmade soaps and then wrapped them with decorative paper and made little tags that said "From xxxxx's Shower to Yours!" and people LOVED it! :)
