DIY Flower Girl Bouquets - Opinions Please!

Recommended Posts

Ok ladies - it's crunch time, and I am spending this week getting all of my stuff done. First project, my 4 flowergirls bouquets. I thought it would be fun to make them myself, and use fake flowers, so they could keep them. No idea how I was going to attempt this - so here is my first try. Please let me know what you think!

I added a Celtic knot charm just cuz they're all Irish kiddies - and thought it would be nice to add this touch. And they all have charm bracelets - they can keep these afterwards.

Anyway - be honest! Here is my first try ... whatcha think? Sorry for the poor pictures!

I think they look great.. I like that you added the knot that they can keep, a very special touch. I think I agree with Martha about the pink ribbon - I would either just use it at the top to make the bow or do the whole thing in pink. Then again, it may look different IRL.

well, there's green ribbon under the pink ribbon - so i could do without the green i guess. i was trying to incorporate the green because technically green and blue are our colors! but the flowergirls' mom decided she wanted to buy pink dresses - so i used pink and green! still playing around.

thanks for the tips - keep 'em coming!

I love the general idea...I'm undecided about the pink ribbon, especially the criss-cross. What about just leaving the green ribbon? Could you attach the charm with that? I like the green and I think you don't necessarily need the pink. Great idea to make something they can keep. omg Ann your wedding is so close!

yup. but i did say i was ok with her finding something - and sent some examples of the style i liked, and said blues or greens were my colors. but she found pink dresses she loved! oh well - i don't have bridesmaids, so there's really nothing to match to - i got over it pretty quick! lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
