Hello fellow Brides!!!

My name is Allisa, the wedding date is set for Sept 9, 2009 (3 1/2 months -OMG) at the Azul Sensatori in the Mayan Riviera. Our theme in "Old Hollywood", so when we have our reception back home I can carry it through. Our colours are royal purple, black and white, and it is going to be small. I am finding the current recession has affected a lot of our invites. That means I can spend a little more per person for our dinner I guess...

I wish I had found this site months ago! I was looking around yesterday while waiting for my activation and have already got a lot of great ideas from the ladies on this site!!!!

I am looking forward to getting to know the other brides and sharing some fun ideas -mostly, I can't wait to hear how everyones big day turns out!

Happy planning ladies!

Cheers, a

Welcome and congrats from a fellow Sensatori bride! If you haven't already found it, check out our thread in the Riviera Maya section! Sounds like you have everything under control! I hear you on the recession affecting your invites. Our guest list is looking pretty pathetic right now lol. But the way I look at it - it's about the people getting married, not the guests :)

Thank you for the welcome! And the reminder that it is Vance & my special day, no one elses!

I have found the Azul Sensatori forum! This site is such a great idea, it really helps sharing planning ideas and also hearing from Brides who come back from their wedding and have tips and suggestions.

Are you guys having a reception when you get home too? We are planning on one on Oct 31st (he proposed on halloween last year), and we're still bouncing back and forth between, "hey, this is really a wedding reception" and "we're having a casual party, and by the way, we just got married." Not to mention it's almost like planning a whole other wedding!

Craziness!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
