"So You Think You Can Dance" Summer 2009

Fergie's cups certainly runneth over much more than I'd ever seen - it made me think she might be preggo. And who know the BEP's had such a love for Michael Jackson - or is everyone just jumping on the bandwagon?

 

Randi was super cute, but I think it was the couples dance she was assigned that did her in.

pretty sure the BEP's are not on the MJ bandwagon. they did some remixes of his songs in the past...I think I read something too about Will.I.am being a HUGE fan of MJ ever since he was young

Yeah, I think the BEPs seem inspired by MJ, so I don't think it's bandwagon-jumping either. But I mean, isn't everyone that grew up in the generation ESPECIALLY those in music, inspired by MJ? (I am not talking feelings about his personal life, but the effect he had on the music industry absolutely can NOT be denied.)

Just found this, so apparently im the wrong one and you all are right (surprise surprise). I thought they mentioned mia michaels too though?? maybe they will have four?:

 

Next week, Ellen DeGeneres joins the panel as a guest judge, and Thursday's 100th episode features a special Judy Garland tribute performed by Katie Holmes.

So glad Melissa made it through, I love her. She dances so well that everyone thinks what she is doing is easy and it isn't trust me. I was never going to be a professional Ballerina but dance for 17 years and pointe work is very hard. She is in awesome shape and I hope she goes all the way but I agree that the show is a little biased with mostly guys winning in the past.

 

Hope it's a girl this year!!

That is going to be awesome!!! Maybe Mia is doing the opening number Or have 4 judges, but I hope not, I already think the judges talk too much at times.

I completely agree Jackobelle - I'm SO over the judges talking, it's just annoying me now. Get on with the dancing!

I like to hear what the judges say....IF it is short and not screaming. Seriously, I think Mary is enough to cause viewers to stop watching the show.

 

I was sad when Randi went home, she is super cute and I hate that one bad routine did her in. Also...why did they keep talking about her hair...do the dancers really have a choice in what their costumes are? I thought that was up to the people that choreographed the dance.

I really don't care who wins as long as the person can really dance. I appreciate TRAINED dancers. I think that dancers in the past have gotten through on popualrity and not technique. Unfortunatetly, it's the one thing I hate about the show. But Americans are voting for America's FAVORITE dancer. If memory serves me right, there wasn't too many untrained dancers on the Canadian version. On the brightside, the remainder of the group are very well trained. Makes for better dance!

I have not checked this thread since the show aired bc we were away and just watched last night!!!! I think Randi was totally ready to be done - it looked like she was saying Thank You when they announced she was done. Kupono knew it would be him over Ade, who I was shocked was in the bottom.

 

I was so happy for Janine to dance with someone other than Philip - she and Jason looked so awesome together - it was nice to see her with a strong partner.

 

Like all of you, we (FI and I) thought Fergie was looking big in the boobs - I don't remember them being that big, but I don't pay THAT much attention either.

 

Can't wait to see what Ellen adds to the show!
