Eliminated - Randi & Kupuno.

 

Alright, no big surprise there as we had discussed that these were probably the 2 to go. But seriously, Ade in the bottom? WTF is up with that?!? I was TOTALLY surprised by that actually. I couldn't believe that Evan wasn't in the bottom. But whatever, these things happen when you leave it up to the viewers. I was actually also surprised that Melissa was in the bottom. I figured it would be Jeannette I guess, maybe because I like her and her bangs the least! lol

 

OMG! Cat's hair? Again, WTF Seriously, between her hair and that dress with the super wide shoulders, she just looked bad last night.

 

Black Eyed Peas were great! I just love them. Yes Fergie's boobs were distracting, but whatever. FI noticed THAT right away! lol

 

About next week...I'm so freakin' excited!!!!!!!!!! I can't wait for the dances that they are bringing back. Not so sure about Katie Holmes dancing, but we'll see. Ellen as a guest judge? OMG that's going to be great! I love that lady, she's freakin hilarious and I can't wait to see what'll happen when she's around.

 

Anyway, all in all, I enjoyed the show last night. The group dance was ok, kinda weird for me but that's ok.

 

Can't wait for next week!

I had no idea Ellen was teh guest judge next week! I love her! I am also not surprised by the eliminations, but I am SUPER surprised to hear that Melissa and Ade were in the bottom three and Evan wasn't.

I don't think that people appreciate Melissa. The amount of HOURS it takes for a ballerina to get to her level is mind boggling. It's much easier in my opinion to be a contemporary dancer. I know from experience that it's much easier on the feet for sure. Don't get me wrong....I love all dance but I have a special place in my heart for ballet. I love how a good ballerina makes things look effortless. Melissa hasn't had a problem doing other styles. I wonder how the others would do on point.

I was so sad because my DVR did not tape the show last night!!! So super bummed. Y'alls recap is cracking me up though.

 

Ok I can't believe that Evan made it through.

I agree, people don't realize the sheer amount of work involved in doing the most basic ballet moves. I think because Melissa's movement is so fluid people don't see the effort behind it.

 

Can't wait for Ellen as a guest judge next week! They should have all the guys dance in Ellen boxers!

Lisa - I totally agree, it was very surprising to see Melissa and Ade in the bottom 2...but also somewhat expected when you leave it entirely to the voters lol. Ellen is guest judging? Oooh that's going to be so awesome!

I was suprised Evan was not in the bottom...I really don't think he is that good of a dancer compared to the other guys that are left!

 

I wasn't really suprised to see Melissa in the bottom, for some reason I just don't like her much (don't get me wrong she is a great ballet dancer) I am just over her...and so over Jeanettes bangs too...wtf is up with those things?! I just want to take a bobby pin and pin them back for her.

um ellen is not the guest judge ladies! lol Mia Michaels is the guest judge but ellen is going to be there! I cant wait, I love ellen.

 

I had predicted randi and kupono would go home so im not surprised. Iw as surprised though that Ade and Melissa were in teh bottom two! wtf.

 

I think if a girl wins it will be janette, i love her for some reason

I'm so sad! My gay BF is gone! And he is a hottie. Why is it that boys always get those dark brooding eyes and impossibly long eyelashes that I have to spend $20 on from MAC?

 

I know it was time for him to go but still. He needs to stay on as Kat's assistant or something. He brings such personality. I think that might be why I like him so much. He's really the only one with a big over the top personality, whereas last year everyone was like that.

 

I think Randi was ready to go home to her hubby.

 

I was surprised at Melissa and Ade! I agree that she is probably the most skilled of the girls. She is also the oldest girl that has ever been on the show at 29. All of the other contestants that are left are between 18-22. Her experience really shows in her performance. Like someone else said, she's done great with all of the other styles and I doubt anyone else could pull off ballet, especially on point.

 

Kat was looking a little toussled last night. It was pretty funny that all 3 Kat, Mary, and Debbie all admitted to hair extensions!

 

LOVED the opening number. I love result show day and trying to guess the choreographer. My first thought was Wade or Brain but after a minute I knew it was Wade for sure.

 

The Black Eyed Peas were not bad. Fergi was boobyliscious for sure! I don't remember her topsys being that big. Was her little dominatrix outfit padded? It reminded me of LC Rachel's Halloween costume!

 

And what was the thing in her hand? I couldn't figure out if she was twirling a baton or if it was some sort of S&M whip & tickle thing.

 

I am so excited for Ellen! I love her! Not too sure about Katie Holmes. I've never thought of her as a dancer.

I can't believe I only just found this thread now!!! I LOVE SYTYCD!!!!

 

I wasn't surprised at who went home last night. I do think Randi is cute as a button though! I honestly can't say I have a favourite yet. I had so many last year...hmmmm I think they have a really strong top 10, maybe it is because no one stands out.

 

I also thought they said Ellen was a guest judge??!?

 

I loved how in the opening dance Melissa was sort of the focus with her ballet. It is nice to see them using that.
