Cool, glad we could help!

But something you just said, got me thinking... Did you try posting in the buy/sell/trade section here that you are "LF: Maggie Phillipa dress size x". If several brides on here wore it, you might get lucky and find something that wants to sell it.

Oh, and gorgeous dress, btw!

Girl, I have worn out the BDW search engine with the name of the gown. That's half what sealed the deal, seeing some of the other gals who had worn/tried it on. I hadn't really givin much thought to it before that, though I had it under my favorites on my pc.

I think someone is wearing it soon...but it's like a size 8, which will not work with what's following me around at the base of my spine. hahahaha! I think someone else was looking for it in like a 16, so that won't really help either...I'd thought of maybe finding someone else who wanted it and splitting the cost and just sharing the gown as long as our wedding dates worked. But this will work out just as well...then at the end of it all, I can either sell it or pass it along. I don't think I'll wear it as my TTD...mermaid gowns just aren't meant to be hiked up for climbing all over new hubby's. lmao

I had the exact same dilemma as you. I just bought a dress off of Ebay that I love but it was white. I really wanted ivory, but the deal was too good to pass up, plus finding it in my size is very hard. I think I look pretty good in white but I was afraid that it doesn't photograph as well as ivory. But for the price ($300), I had to snatch it up!

Well, just to update...bought the dress today!!!!

Since it's coming from the UK, not sure how long it will take, but the main thing is the deal is done and I can relax (kinda). lol As soon as it's in, y'all know I'll update pics and all.

And I've just about decided to just have one of my original favorites custom made by one of the Ebay overseas manufacturers. These folks have like 6K dresses under their belt with 100% feedback! They seem pretty amazing, AND they allow you to submit photos of whatever dress you want, put down a deposit (half) and then they SEND YOU PICS OF THE FINISHED PRODUCT SO YOU CAN DECIDE IF YOU WANT TO PURCHASE IT!. Start to finish, the whole thing will cost $159...for a TTD, that's not bad!

Wha? Who, me??

Everyone here knows I am the soul of indescr--err I mean..descretion.

I'm having a hard time wrestling with the bouquet thing now. White dress, ivory accents....umm..white or ivory in the bouquethuh.gif Maybe cream.....bah! This is so ridiculous, I'm driving myself insane over two shades of white for poop's sake!

I am so glad you chose the dress of your dreams, its going to look amazing on you, its a stunning dress. Seriously, no one will notice the white/ivory differences. As for flowers, I would go with a white as an accent, when it comes to flowers there is no real true white, they are all a million shades of white and you could use a combo of those and it would look great as well.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
