Dreams Packages

My travel agent has been trying to get package rates for April 2010- nothing yet! Anyone else have any info on prices for next April or there abouts? I've sent the STDs out but would love to get the invitations out fairly soon as well so I can get an idea of how many people will be able to make. We are trying to book at Dreams Huatulco.

Do you mean the wedding packages? Or air and hotels packages? If you mean the wedding packages I think they are going to be very similar to the 2009 prices. I've booked my wedding package at the Dreams La Romana and my WC never said there would be a price difference. But I guess there's always a chance. I attached what my WC sent me. I hope it helps.

If you meant air and hotel packages I just booked mine for April 19, 2010 so the rates are available.

To those Dreams brides who booked last year was there a price increase for the wedding packages?

My TA just informed me on Monday that Apple Vacations now has its contracts with Dreams Punta Cana for Spring 2010 (my wedding is at the end of April) so we are now able to book. I am not sure how your TA is going about booking, but at least I can share that the Dreams resorts are now finalizing their contracts for Spring with some of the tour companies. I hope this means you'll be able to get some concrete prices here soon! Good luck!!

The rates for the spring 2010 season are out for the most part. There are just a few tour operators who haven't released their rates yet for the spring season, but they should be coming out in a week or so. April is the last month in the “spring season†so anything after April 2010 likely won't be available until early winter 2010. If you get a group quote for anything after April 2010 it's only an estimate.

I originally had my wedding scheduled for May 2010 but because I would have to wait until next year to see that official rates I moved it up a few weeks to April.

I don't think being in Canada has anything to do with how long it takes for the rates to come out. We just have completely different suppliers who have contracts with the resorts.

Anyways this is my understand of it :)

Lakerbride,
My fiance and I are getting married at Dreams Tulum in March 2010. The new printed packages are not out yet and I have been told are not going to change too much. We have booked th wedding specifically through the resort. If you email the wedding planner she can email you all the forms you will need for booking. You just fill them out and send them back. The wedding planner at DT has been very helpful and gotten back with us on all questions very quickily.
Best wishes in your planning!

Just heard from my TA Friday- Dreams has released their prices for 2010 and aren't doing group bookings at this time. When asked they if they decided to do group bookings later in the year would we get a rebate- they stated it has been known to happen but they can't guarantee anything.

I think she was talking about the wedding package price, b/c i got the 2009 wedding package price for my wedding in 2010 because the 2010 rates were not out when I booked my date. I talked directly with with the WC about this.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
