I was wondering if anyone has done this on their own - I am calling it a Photo Montage but not sure if that is the correct term....I want to put our pitures on a DVD with music and play it at our welcome dinner. Any good programs or companys you can recommend would be very helpful! THANKS!

i did this...it was pretty easy...i made a sample one...let me see if i can post here.

I used photsohop elements i think..

ok...here it is.

i made it in like 2 minutes because i already made the pages in lumapix (the same software sarah uses for her photobooks.

i wanted a video i could send to my friends that did not make the wedding but had so many pics i wanted to include that if i did the pics one at a time it would have been like an hour long...so i thought this was short and sweet.

Will just made a DVD slideshow for some friends who got married on Movie Maker but I had my students make great slideshows using photostory 3 if you are only using pics.

Movie maker is much better because you can move the music around.

I used PhotoStory 3 and I can't get over how easy it was!

It creates all the transitions for you automatically - let me know if you need any help/questions with it. Good Luck!

ps - I also just finished up the Framed Centerpieces (the ones with the pictures on vellem paper) I read that you had completed this too - I can't believe how easy/great that DIY was!

Just and update...photo story 3 ROCKS! Super easy to use! Thanks for the tips ladies!

Also I was wondering how long you think this photo slideshow should be? It will be played at our welcome dinner. I don't want to have it be too long but once you get me started with pictures it is hard to stop!

Lastly, for those who have used Photo Story 3 - you can burn your slideshow onto a DVD right? I don't think we are taking the computer to Cabo.

Thanks again ladies - you are the best!

glad that worked out for you..
WAIT...so I wont be able to burn it to a disc and slip it into the DVD player at the resturant? Sorry I am TOTALLY NOT A COMPUTER PERSON! I am worried about bringing my laptop since I don't know what cables I will need to hook it up to the projector thing at Mi Casa. The idea is to play it on the big screen at the welcome dinner....

  • 3 weeks later...

OK so I am leaving in a few short days for Cabo and have been working on my photo montage to play at my welcome dinner for about a million hours. I am realizing that I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO BURN THIS ONTO A DVD using Photo Story 3 for Windows. I need it to be on a CD so that I can put it into the player at Mi Casa. fryingpan.gif

At this point I need to know if anyone knows of a program that will allow me to use music and pictures together and then burn it onto a DVD. Please help since I am running out of time......smile41.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
