Los Cabos~site visit 5/12-5/17

I got quotes from the Sunrider and another boat, Escape the Sun (?) for a private dinner cruise and the Sunrider matched the price of the other boat cruise price I got. I went with Sunrider because I had read a few good reviews on BDW and couldn't find a lot of info on the other boat at the time I was booking, which was several months ago. We also had to guarantee a minimum number for it to be private - it was 40 people on the Sunrider, 35 for escape the Sun, but the minimum was not an issue for us so I did not try to negotiate that number down on either boat. Kids are half price.

Except for not yet experiencing the actual cruse : ), I've been very pleased with Sunrider - they are responsive to my emails and reserved the boat without an initial deposit until a couple months before the wedding.

Thanks for the feedback. I'm hoping that Sunrider would be willing to give me a group discount. Every dollar counts especially since were also in the process of building a house. You can say I have my plate full!!

I actually just started having wedding nightmares. I'm walking down the aisle and I look down only to see that the lower half of my dress is missing.

I think I'm started to stress out and my wedding is not until November.

i think most of the fishing/expediation companies are willing to negotiate if you have a group...there is no harm in asking, right?

maybe while you're at it, ask if they will do a BDW special that you can post. It will give you some leverage and them some advertisement and BDW brides soem savings...so a win-win-win!

Hahaha Rev. Marco had me in tears too when we met him for the first time! I was just telling him how easy I cry and he said something and the tears came rolling down! He has such a way with words!

Great site review! I'm so glad you had an awesome time at Dreams! I suffered from Dreams withdrawal for a couple of days after I came back.

Ha! Speaking of notebooks, I was sitting in the Dreams lobby waiting for DJ Ricardo when he came up to me and introduced himself. After our meeting I asked how he was so certain it was me that he was meeting. He said that he can spot a bride a mile away because their always carrying a white binder or a notebook!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
