Thank you's

Recommended Posts

So we've received a few cards in the mail. Mainly from family from over sea's. Do we have to send a TY card even if we didn't get a gift? I don't want the family to get all upset we didn't send them a TY.

I did not have any cards without a gift/money inside. But I think I would still send a TY card to let them know their thoughtfulness is appreciated. I am giving TY cards to people who sent us gifts as well as the people who came with us to DR whether they gave a gift or not.

I used vistaprint...they can be fairly inexpensive. Also, the linen finish is VERY nice!!

I too have to say send them. If they are going to the trouble of acknowledging you on your special day, I would like to thank them. Not everyone is going to be able to make it for whatever reason. But if they are sending you good wishes it would be bad manners and karma not to thank them. Really is it that much of an incovience?

So you got cards just congratulating you on your marriage, but with no gift? I'm not sure have to send people a Thank you card for a "Congratulations" but if you feel like they're going to be upset if you don't (we all have those people in our families) then go ahead and send one.

I agree with Darcy. A card to thank for sending a card? Are they going to then send one back saying thank you for your thank you card? Lol Ok that was silly I know. But I don't think I would send a thank you for a card, just for a gift. Unless you have a big budget and extra time and its not a hinderence to you :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
