Ooh, btw...I wanted to explain the random bright orange garter! You can't really tell in the pic, but it has UT on it...which is the college my husband went to. We had a joke about how I had to be a Longhorn fan if we got married etc. Totally silly, but he freaked when he saw the garter! He barely got it off my leg when he said, "I don't really have to throw this, do I?" He was SO worried!! It was cute. ;-)
hehehe, they're so serious about their Longhorns, aren't theyhuh.gif My FSIL is a *huge* UT fan, but her husband and my FI are Notre Dame fans and during football season they goade the hell out of each other when their teams lose... :)

Thanks for sharing the pics! You two make a gorgeous couple. ...I was wondering what the significance was with the bright orange garter...then I read the posts:) Hmmm...that gives me an idea :)
Thank you!! The garter was kind of a whim, but I'm really glad I got it...he loved it! And I think they make them for serveral different schools. . .

Beautiful photos. I really love your cake. did you design it yourself? It's very pretty.
Thanks! Yeah, I designed it myself, I just bought a ribbon that I liked and gave it to the lady who was doing my cake for me...and i ordered the flowers through my florist. Peonies...love them!

My wedding ceremony was at my parents church in Wylie and the reception was at a place called The Surrey House in McKinney...downtown near the square. And don't worry about the garter thing...they EVEN make garters for Aggies! Lol! j/k!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
