Did you get upgraded to First Class???

we went sea-dfw on one airline and then dfw-sjd on AA and we got upgraded on the AA segment. I'm sure it was more due to the light load than the dress tho.

and take this on good authority, just because not as many people are traveling to Mexico right now does not mean there will be loads of open seats. most of the airlines have gone to a revised Mexico summer schedule involving smaller aircraft with a reduced flight schedule. so even tho the number of passengers total is less, there are less flights and less seats to get them there, so the flights are more crowded.

In regards to Abs comments some of the BDW girls have even been put on standby do to airlines reducing flights and aircraft size. Although from what I know of Delta they haven't moved to smaller aircraft but have cut down their flights to one flight a day.

We flew US Air and were not offered an upgrade at check-in, so DH paid the $100/ea to have us upgraded. We were not first to board so there was no place to hang my dress, but I laid it on the top in a compartment after everyone put in their luggage and it traveled beautifully.

Turns out, our only other guests on that flight were also in First Class and we were in the same row as them, opposite aisle, so it worked out perfect! And the extra $100/ea to upgrade was worth it - although free would have certainly been better, lol.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
