Congratulations!! SB was going to be our back-up too, but luckily my FI's travel waiver got approved by the military. I am from SB too and love it there! Your wedding will be incredible at the Biltmore!! You should also hit up the Spa at Bacara, it is awesome and a great place to take the girls and relax for the day. Although the Spa at the Biltmore is really nice too, just not as large, but you can't go wrong!! I am sure it will be so great to have your friends there and nice that you are already familiar with the area. Glad the fires died down.. good thing you weren't there a couple weeks ago!!

Thanks everyone!! It was definitely a tough week and a half but so thankful to have the support of our friends, family and of course my BDWers :)

Hannah - Actually I was there right when the fires hit...FI and I went to "get away" since our wedding had just been cancelled and the second we arrived the winds picked up and it got bad. Luckily its mostly contained now and Im *praying* there wont be another one any time soon.

I just wanted to say how thankful and honored I am to be a part of Yael's wedding! I would never wish what she had to go through on any bride, and I feel awful about how the swine flu affected so many weddings. But, I'm thrilled to shoot a BDW wedding in my hometown - and the Four Seasons Biltmore is an amazing venue! I can't wait to snap away!

Also, I'm so flattered by all the kind words ~ the BDW gals are simply the BEST!!!!

Congrats on getting such a great Plan B! My best friend got married there a few years ago and it was beautiful! (We're also fellow Gauchos)!!! I'm actually going there the weekend before your wedding for my cousins graduation from UCSB- can't wait! I know it's not Mexico, but it will be amazing! My favorite picture from my friend's wedding is the groomsmen all walking across the street from the hotel towards the beach and they're all holding Coronas. It is such a great picture with the water in the background! Have a wonderful time- it really is gorgeous there! Congrats!!!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
