DJ Doremixx Review - Cancun, Playa Del Carmen & the Riviera Maya

Recommended Posts

We used DJ Doremixx (Ivan) for our wedding at the Royal PDC. We were so happy with him and so were all of our guests! My FIL wasn't sure what to expect with a DJ (he's old school and thought he'd be spinning rave music or something), but Ivan had a great mix of quiet, slower music when everyone was eating, 60's and 70's tunes for the baby boomers and plenty of hip hop and rock for us!

I had prepared a reception playlist on my iPod with songs for our first and last dance as well as any other songs he wanted to use. He knew exactly what to play and when to play it. They also provided fun party favors like balloons, masks and neon bracelets that they passed out while we were dancing. They were a big hit!

If you have any questions please let me know or you can email him at ivan@doremixx.com.

Thanks again Ivan!

We hired Doremixx as our DJ for our wedding at the Valentin Imperial Maya on May 8, 2009. I had the opportunity to go to Cancun several times with work so I met with a few DJs to see what they had to offer. When I met Ivan Gomez I knew he was the DJ I wanted! Such a professional business person! He will email you a list of all his songs and even a list of suggested songs for 1st dance, father and bride, cake songs, etc. Ivan can even download a song if he doesnt have it and within minutes he can play it for you! A few "wow's" I have to mention about Ivan....I emailed him in the middle of the night once to tell him I was coming the next day and he emailed me back...in the middle of the night! Another time I texted him to see how big the dance floor was we were renting (because we were doing a choreographed 1st dance) and he texted me back within 5 min! I HIGHLY recommend him to keep the party going! His price is very reasonable for what he has to offer. Ivan came with a helper to help him provide the excellent service I was confident we were going to get from hiring him. His package comes with an abundance of items (sevices, cordless microphone, robotic lights, cold fireworks (great for 1st dance!) neon bracelets, balloons, masks, etc. etc. His website is http://doremixx.com/ and you can email him at ivan@doremixx.com or djcunmix@gmail.com

Muchisimas Gracias Ivan!!!!!

Ivan was an absolute pleasure to work with! He was extremely organized and so professional. When I mentioned to my father that we would be hiring an outside DJ to come to Dreams Tulum to dj the wedding, he was a little worried and skeptical but after meeting Ivan at our meeting he was absolutely amazed by his professionalism. Ivan had all of our emails and information straight and had gotten all of our music together for the wedding. Needless to say my Dad was so excited that I had done all of the research to find an amazing DJ in the Riviera Maya that would do a great job at the wedding. Ivan arrived early in the evening to prepare for the wedding and was very flexible when we decided to switch things around last minute. I cannot speak highly enough of Ivan and his assistants. They made our wedding truly amazing and everyone had the most wonderful time. He kept everyone dancing and the time flew by way too fast. Our guests were talking about him for the rest of week and wondering how we found such an incredible DJ! I cannot thank him enough for making my wedding reception perfect and showing our 50 guests how people in Mexico can dance and party!!! THANK YOU SO MUCH IVAN! If you are looking for a great DJ please contact Ivan because he will do such an amazing job

I'm so glad to see these great reviews! I just sent him the deposit today for our April 9, 2010 wedding and I can't wait! Music is one of the most important things for me and our guests. Nothing ruins a wedding like bad dancing music or a DJ that can't emcee. :)

    • I’m sorry but I just noticed this original post was from a few years ago.
    • Hi girl, I was in the the exact same situation as you. I’ was a second timer too,  at the time my daughter was 16 when we had our DW. He also had a daughter from a previous marriage who was 28 at the time with a 3 year old son who we’re residing with us. His daughter was in no financial shape whatsoever to pay her way to Fiji. My husband said it meant so much to him for her to be there. We argued for months about us funding her way to go with us. I felt like the evil step mother too but put my foot down. It almost got to the point that we were just not going to go but finally my fi gave in and said we would  not pay for her. Talk about stress! We went with my daughter and a few friends and got married. I could see the sadness in my husbands eyes during the ceremony. It all hit me right there. He wanted his daughter there so bad that it crushed him. In fact none of his family were there and the friends I mentioned were all my friends. I thought to myself, why did I do this to this wonderful man who is so good to me and my daughter. He rarely asked for things for himself. I felt awful. He did his best to hide it from me. It’s the biggest regret of my life girl. He never got over that his daughter was not there and it destroyed me. I wish I could go back in time and do it all over again. I allowed $3,500 that we easily could afford, ruin what I wanted to be the happiest day of his life. If you can afford it pay for it, do it. It’s not worth the pain.It was  not worth doing that to him just to prove a point. This was 17 years ago and it bothered him for the rest of his life. He passed away last October and I still cannot forgive myself. That’s my two cents - Shel
    • Hi everyone! Newbie here. I've been trying to search for templates for passport invitations. I saw a couple on Etsy but not many options. I was wondering if anybody knew of any other sites that have printable templates for passport invitations? Thanks in advance!
    • I agreed that such music would be suitable for our wedding. To make your wedding more enjoyable you can add this playlist to your event.  https://www.djtaba.com/playlist/featured-playlists/persian-wedding-dance-song/
