Wow - what an incredible story. I agree, you should submit this to a magazine. Most importantly, I admire what a strong relationship you have together and may you always tackle life's challenges in such a positive way! Congratulations

Congratulations you're finally a MRS. What a great celebration! Good thing you rescheduled your wedding date before you traveled to Mexico. In my case, we decided to move forward as planned and travel to Mexico but were unforunately forced to postpone our wedding when our resort closed 5 days before our wedding date. Good thing our guests hadn't arrived. Darn that swine flu!

Glad to know you sacrificed a piggy cake! LOL

BTW, you, your husband, DIY and decor were beautiful!

i LOVE it! i was thinking of a pig cake topper, but the pig cake is PRICELESS! love the hats, lol! looks like you have an amazing, supportive group of family and friends, and i'm so happy for you that you went through with the legal ceremony on your wedding date.

you have a lot of guests ... will they all still come now in december, knowing you're already legally married? i hope they do, so you can still have that experience the way you dreamed of it.

congrats on being a MRS! a lifetime of love to you both!

Wow, this is amazing! I was thinking about you when the Swine Flu news broke out, but didnâ€t want to bother you. I really admire you for having such great attitude about this whole Swine Flu fiasco. Your swine-themed wedding was supper cute! I know it's not how you envisioned things to happen, but you had such a unique wedding and now you have a story that you will be telling people for years! Plus, you still have another great reception to look forward to in Mexico! What could be better?!

P.S. You were a gorgeous bride!!!! Congratulations to both of you!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
