If you can't beat 'em join 'em.... our swine wedding 05.08.09

Recommended Posts

Yay, I'm a Mrs...!!!!! We got married on 05.08.09!!!!!! It wasn't quite how I dreamt but I married the man of my dreams and that's what's important! FI and I, along with 96 of our guests, were all packed and ready to fly to our wedding in the riviera maya when news of the swine flu broke..... it was a very tough decision but we decided to postpone our mexico wedding, as much as people were willing to go for us we just didn't want to take any chances... we re-booked, trying to avoid hurricane season and allowing for enough time for the drama to pass, we decided on December 4th..... It seemed like ages away and all I could think of were all my diy projects with our may 8th date on it... after many tears and tons of pouting, we decided to make the best out of a bad situation. We had our civil wedding on the day we had decided on to become husband and wife..May 8th! It turned out to be an amazing day! All our family and friends were so supportive during this whole ordeal... it really taught us what's important, our love and the love of the people around us. My honey even surprised me with a 2 night honeymoon at the W hotel =) just wanted to share some pictures blush2.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
