Post Groom and GM attire

Recommended Posts

I think it depends on your dress.

If I end up with a big princess dress then the groomsmen will probably be in long sleeve shirts and vests (still formal but not as hot as a suit jacket).

If I get a more destination type dress (which is what I'm leaning towards), then short sleeves all the way.

That thread Meg&Shay posted will help a lot. We are only having a best man and our officiant is our friend, so they are wearing black silk shirts (like the Tommy Bahama ones) with ivory linen pants. It looks nice all together. I would love for them to wear a suit but my FI doesn't want to.

After much worrying I FINALLY found FI's suit!! I had ordered an Express suit off Ebay but it did not look good on him (jacket wayyyy too short) and the material ended up being too thick for the beach. I got so lucky last week at the Banana Republic Outlet! They had a bunch of tan suits and but no jackets in 42L, although they did have his size pants. I snatched them up and had the cashier call around and he found the matching jacket at a store in Atlantic City. I ordered the jacket over the phone from the AC store and prayed that it would look good on him!! Thank God, the entire suit fits him perfect and does not need any alterations! Since FI waited until now to start looking for suits, no stores here in MD were carrying tan suits anymore. I am so glad we found this as I was at the end of my rope. The jacket was $99 on sale from $260 and the pants were $50 on sale from $98.

We went to Express to get the groomsmen tan pants and white shirts. We used a coupon "buy $160 get $40 off" and when I told the cashier it was for our wedding, he gave us an extra $20 off!! The white shirts (the same one as FI has on in the picture) are buy 1 get one 50% off ($4cool.gif and the pants are buy one ($50) get one for $37.50.

I hope this helps any ladies doing some last minute shopping like we were!

p.s Sorry FI is so angry looking...he did not want to model for our blog!! LOL

LOL LOVE THE SUIT! I tried to get FI to model but he wasn't having it. I had to settle for pictures of the shirt alone.......boring!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
