We're getting married in January 2010 and I got my FI's outfit last week at J. Crew. He's wearing a tan (more brown tan than khaki tan) suit and a green and pink tie. I got his stuff before I even bought my own dress!

We got FI's suit at Men's Warehouse. They are having a HUGE sale. He got a nice tan linen suit. We have been watching summer sales for all the GM's outfits. I think we are going to get everything this month. Some of the summer stuff is getting picked over already.

I am having such a hard time with this and my days are running out!!! Question for you ladies...... do you find the linen to be see-through when the guys have it on? I wanted to get white linen dress shirts with tan coloured linen pants but they look completely see through on the racks. I'm trying to figure out what to get BEFORE dragging FI out as he HATES shopping and I'd like it to be as painless as possible.

I would buy it now because you will probably have a better selection now than in the winter and better prices too. We bought their suits in May when they first went on sale. I was going to wait but the were selling fast then and I did not want to pay thru the roof. We got a two piece lined linen suit for $250.00 (it was a $100.00 off), And the Jr. Usher and Ring boy, we got theirs on clearance at the end od April for $25.00 (reg. $75.00).

As far as see thru goes, it goes back to quality. Some have a thinner weave and are slightly see thru. Others are a little thinker or partial lined so that doesn't happen. As for the color, the lighter the color the more see thru it will be. We got a white linen shirt (a little see thru, would be almost transparent went went, can't wait to see that!!! LOL) and off white/cream/light tan suit. Not see thru at all. The jacket is also completely lines so it will not stick to the shirt.

We bought FI a kahki linen suit from here: Studiosuits.com, Custom Suits | Designer Suits. If it looks bad, then we'll just buy one from MW. The groomsmen are wearing kahki linen pants that they bought last week on sale from Macy's and I am still trying to find them linen shirts (hopefully within the next month). I just ordered samples from here: Beach Wedding Attire: Drawstring Linen Pants, Cotton & Linen Shirts, Shorts - Island Importer.

If you are worried about see-thru linen shirts, try a linen/cotton or linen/silk blend. They don't wrinkle as much and have a little more body to them.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
