Post Groom and GM attire

Recommended Posts

i just ordered these shirts (online) for the groomsmen ... i'm hoping they look ok when i see them in person. i had a hard time finding something good for everyone because the best man is a 3X ... every time i found something i like, it only came up to 2X. these shirts have a subtle woven stripe:

litl_april, i looked at those shirts for awhile too (but cream & red), but then both my and my fiance's attire ended up being fancier than we thought it would be, and i didn't think they would "go" anymore.

We're also looking for gray suits - they had some in Men's Warehouse but we didn't love any of them. Several stores told us they'd get linen suits in the end of Feb, but no one seemed hopeful that they would have gray.. so we'll see..
Let me know if you have any better luck :)

Wahoo, I can check FI's attire off the impending 'to-do' list!

I don't have a picture of him in it, but it looks hot :)

Pair of charcoal Perry Ellis flat front slacks with a Kenneth Cole woven striped white on white french cuff shirt. I'll put him in a pair of silver cuff links with his oxblood belt and shoes and he's set.

Hey girls...maybe someone on here can help me out...I let FI pick out what he wants him and his GM to wear (probably my first mistake), but we are having difficulty locating the outfits for cheap...

He wants to wear black pants and a long sleeve french cuff shirt. I want to find him really lightweight pants and everything we find in black is wool...maybe it's just the time of season. The shirt doesn't matter as much...he hates short sleeve button down shirts, so he will just be rolling up his sleeves after the ceremony. Does anyone knows where to buy nice white shirts with the french cuff? Hopefully it will cool off at night (our ceremony is at 5)...I think he's a little crazy for wanting black but whatever...

Any help would be appreciated!

I got FI's french cuff at Dillards and didn't bother to shop arround. I did see some through macys.com as well as bluefly.com.

Ok girls, I need some help. I really like these shirts foxytv got them and I have loved them ever since, well I have been trying to order them and they only have XL, which would only work for 2 of the groomsman. Does anyone have any ideas where I can get something similar?

We liked this for the groom:

We finally got FI's outfit while on a wedding shopping trip to St. John's. Every place we went said that their summer stock will be out in a few weeks - too bad we weren't going to be there in a few weeks:)

Anyways, we did have some luck and went to a men's shop (Byrons for those in SJ), they had some last summer stuff tucked away. The pants are a khaki thin wool (which is actually really light weight and breathable, great option for those who don't want linen), they were originally $255 and on sale for $85! We also got his tie there, originally $125 on sale for $55! We did have trouble finding an offwhite shirt but finally found the shirt and belt at Moores. Shoes came from Spring.

In the end I am really impressed with FI. First he said he wanted to go real casual but once he got into shopping he realized he wanted to something a little more "spiffy" and picked out a great outfit. I will post a picture of the full outfit soon :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
