Post Groom and GM attire

Recommended Posts

Oooh oooh! I can finally post pics of the ensemble. LOL!

FI wore a kind of light tan suit from Mexx. We got him a shirt at some random store. The tie was pink. It didn't go with the BM dresses, IMO, but it didn't matter in the end.

Unfortunately, the shoes I got for him he didn't wear (he couldn't find them... I am mildly suspicious. They were in our luggage).

I think he looked really nice!

DH with his mom before the ceremony:

After the ceremony -it's hard to see, but the suit had little lines/ridges on it. It looked very good:

We were both barefoot on the beach for the ceremony and pics.

Marie - if you can't find that shirt, perhaps Cecelia could pass along your question to the bride or groom? I found a shirt that I loved in one of Sol's weddings (she's a photog as well) so I sent her a message. She was more then happy to pass my question along and the groom got back to me with the designer of the shirt I liked. Sadly, my husband wasn't crazy about it at all, so it was all for nothing.

LOVE your color scheme, and i think gray is a very classy neutral (not the biggest fan of beige). tom is wearing a charcoal gray suit (wouldn't have been my first choice for the destination, but he wanted a suit he would wear often, and light colors don't look great on big guys). for a beach wedding i would go with a lighter gray ... could be a gray suit, or if you want something more casual go with gray pants with a white shirt or even white pants with a silvery-gray shirt. it's going to look fantastic with the yellow!

Jess-

Depending if you're planning on him wearing a suit or something more casual, I would hit up Macys (or its likeness). Last time I was there, they had a section designated specifically for trousers with a wide range of colors.

We're in a similar boat (our colors are Lt. Green, Pewter, and Silver) and I am planning on putting FI in a pair of medium to charcoal gray trousers with a white on white striped french cuff shirt (tucked in without a tie or jacket).

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
