Post Groom and GM attire

I didn't think FI would wear a suit but that was his request so he will be wearing a linen suit with shit shirt NO TIE and the boys will be in linen pants with Navy shirts as our girls will be wearing Navy dresses.  I don't know if they will be a perfect match but this was sort of FIs idea so we went with it and I like it.

He wanted us to be the only ones in "white" so he stands out from his boys too!  I personally like this idea as it is OUR wedding, he wouldn't do an all white suit and I don't like that anyways but I think the suit with white shirt while everyone else is wearing colour will be nice.  We have also opted to do A LOT of white through out wedding so the navy in our bridal party will be nice to pop in our pictures!!!

The biggest issue I"m having is a color problem. We were considering all the guys in white button down shirts but I'd like my fiance to stand out a bit. The girls are wearing bright turquoise dresses. I can't figure out what would look better, my fiance in a blue shirt and groomsmen in white shirts or the opposite. I'm worried if the blue on the groomsmen isn't a good match to the dresses the whole thing will look weird. Suggestions?

Yeah, FI isn't too crazy about it, but I coaxed him into it saying it had GREAT contrast and he liked the way they looked in the photos....not so much in person! LOL!

We got these at the store I work at, for the shirt AND tie we spent $30! Such a great deal :)!!! At times I HATE working two jobs, but for wedding purposes it's really coming in handy!

Here's the FI in his outfit.  He really loved these pants (These are the Le Chateau ones on sale for about $30, and they are the drawstring ones, so no hockey leg worries!).  He did splurge on a $175 Hugo Boss shirt, but he really loves it.  He is in Edmonton for work for three weeks, and his second day there he went out shopping for shirt and flip flops, and success! I was so proud he took initiative and went for it :D (Also I think he looks great!)

Hi girls! Thanks for the suggestions a few pages back! My fiance and I went shopping this weekend and I'm sooo happy! We found everything except for the groomsmen pants.

My FI bought white linen pants and a white linen vest (instead of a suit jacket) at le chateau. We were also able to find a short sleeve dress shirt in the exact blue the girls are wearing. He will wear a white tie with it. I really like the idea of the two of us in white... Plus the blue shirt will break it up a bit.

We found white button downs with roll up sleeves in a light weight fabric at Guess of all places! I think they are going to look amazing!

The last thing is pants for the groomsmen. I love the linen ones at Le Chateau but they only have them at the outlet here. They have a "final sale" policy and 2 of our guys aren't in town to try them on!  I'm going to try and hunt some down online...

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
