Hair vs. wind

Recommended Posts

I can't help as much as other brides that have gotten married in Cabo because I got married in RM. It was unseasonably windy, so windy in fact that I had our reception moved indoors. I did have some pretty wind blown hair so far I do not regret it (I'll have to decide when I get my pro pics back!). I have never looked good in up-dos so I'm happy with having worn it down.

I'm also planning on wearing my hair down. I'm hoping we can scope out which direction the wind blows ahead of time so I can face into the wind during the ceremony, so my hair is sexy blowing behind me and not into my face!

Ok, I was exactly the same. I hate my hair up, have very long hair, and wanted to wear mine down. So I did, and I do not regret it at all. We arranged the ceremony so the wind would be blowing my hair behind me (MAKE SURE YOU DO THIS!). My hair was in my face alot, but you just have to position yourself right. My only regret was that i should have pinned my bangs back. Had I done that it would have been no problem at all.

Oh and i had a headband in, so that may have helped some too. Either way, no matter about some stray hairs, i do not regret for 1 second wearing my hair down. I was happy and it felt beachy!

I wore mine down and absolutely LOVED IT! I didn't regret it for a second! I curled it, put product and hairspray in, pinned little sections up and then away I went. After the ceremony I took it down and brushed it out for a messy look and it worked. If you look at my pics you'll see how it looked down for the wedding. I'm super glad that I wore it down.

I'm the same way; I hate my hair up! I really just want to wear it down with big flowy curls...I'm just so nervous that the wind will completely ruin it, lol! Oh well...I'd rather have windblown hair than some fancy updo that doesn't even look like me!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
