I also loved my cake, and it was DELICIOUS!! I am normally not a big cake person, but I loved that cake! We ordered a three-tier, which was too much, but my husbandâ€s parents werenâ€t able to make it to the wedding since his father is ill, so we ended up sending the top tier of the cake to them through my aunt, so they could have a piece! And on our last day at the resort, we had the whole group up to our room for coffee and cake, so it all worked out! They just put it in a freezer for us and delivered it to our room for us along with the coffee and some plates!

aww congrats! wow you look Amazing! looove your pics! so happy for you :)

im glad to hear someone finally say that they liked the cake! What kind was it?? thats cool that they saved it for you to eat later! i like that.

can I also ask you what your music was for the ceremony? did you have a few different songs?

thanks so much for the review! all of us future brides cant wait!

Congrats on everything!! You look great... Cant wait to see more :)

Thanks so much! I really enjoyed the beach location, it just depends on your preference and of course the weather! When we picked the beach location, Cecilia indicated that this would be the Tower beach, unless it was too windy, and then it would be located on the main beach. I think the tower beach would be a little more private, so that's probably why that is the first choice. As long as you don't mind kicking off your shoes and having the sand between your toes, then I think the beach is a great choice! Good luck with your planning!

You look beautiful and it looked like everyone had a great time. Congrats Mrs!
Thanks for your comment!! We had a blast!! In terms of my hair, since it was such a windy week, I was concerned about having my hair down, but in the end decided to stick with it since that is what I had envisioned. She put LOTS of spray in my hair so it held up pretty good. It did get in my face a few times, but it wasn't bad at all. It is windy on your way up to the gazebo, but I found that it wasn't as windy once you are actually up there. I loved how it turned out and I'm happy I decided to stick with what I liked. I did however decide not to go with the veil, and instead put some flowers in. By the end of the night, the curls got more relaxed but I think that's to be expected.

Not sure if you know of this site, Project Wedding - Wedding planning, wedding vendor reviews, wedding photos, and more!, but I found it really helpful when looking for hairstyles, makeup, etc. Good luck!

Thanks for the kind words! The cake that we ordered was vanilla, however there were layers in between, so I'm not sure if it was actually the vanilla or if it was the layered cake? It was sooo good though, everyone loved it!

This was our song list for the ceremony, a lot of mellow/beachy songs. The song I walked down the aisle to has special meaning to us :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
