i love that. :)

sorry about the drama, but sounds like you have the right attitude and your FI is lucky to have your love and support. your wedding will be amazing and those people will feel SO stupid to have missed it when the other 61 come home raving about what a great time they had!

have fun at dance lessons tonight! :)

I'm sorry hun, we are anticipating some drop outs too. But yanno you just gotta forge through. And look at the bright side, it's wonderful that you still have 61 people coming!!! And I'm sure those 61 will have an amazing time celebrating with you guys ~ and once you return with all the great memories and super fabulous pics, the 11 suckas (sorry, I'm just mad about the swine flu thing too) will all be filled with regrets. I am sure of that! wink.gif

61 people is still a whole heck of a lot! It sounds like those people were looking for an excuse not to come. We had 4 people cancel while we were already in Mexico because of the flu. It did nothing to dampen our fun!! Trust me, this is a glitch. You will have an amazing wedding no matter what!

Like all the girls have said you won't miss them anyways, it is so their loss!!
I completely agree. They have an equal chance of catching swine flu by staying in the States. And there is no violence near Azul Sensatori. But you know all of that. I am sorry that you are upset, but it will be great with or without them!

well 61 is heck of a lot of people to entertain so you can look at the bright side...a few less people to entertain & keep happy. I have 55 people booked & I'm getting quite nervous. Don't want anymore! :)

I'm lovin' your attitude. I hope that you enjoy your dance lessons & keep in mind that it's about you & him. when people know better, they do better...apparently this was an easy way out to them. be glad that they will not be there...they may have been more of a problem anyway. you have our support!!

OK, I know this is soooo bad, but I secretly hope they get the swine flu at home. I don't want them to get seriously ill, just a mild little swine flu to make them feel dumb for canceling!

I've tried giving them educated information, they just don't listen. I'm to the point now where I don't care if the don't come as long as they send a nice gift. blush2.gif

Wow, I'm really not a mean person, I swear, just feels so good to be able to vent to people who actually get it!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
