I would give my mom and step-day everything if I could, my mom has helped me SOOO much and her and my step-dad have been very genorous finaculy and are already planing to do more!!

So far I have a a photo album for her and FI mom and the dads are getting what the GM are getting (old fationed shaving kits, FI picked them out)

Though I'm thinking of geting my mom the open heart neckless because of everything she has done for me.

And I just remembered I have a step mom too... blah wish she would stay home... wont let my little sister skip a day of school to be there a day early to get her nails done with the rest of my attendants :/

I'm getting our Parents a gift for the weddding, just because I thought it would be a nice way to say Thank You for everything they've done in raising me.

For my Mom I bought her a silver vanity set like the one she used to have when I was little, and I'm going to get the tray engraved with something, (not sure what yet).

For my Dad, I bought him a toy Model car of what he use to drive when I was little. He use to take me everywhere in it, I even cried when he sold the car. I'm going to get that engraved as well. Found it on ebay for $6

Neither of them were expensive, but it reminds me of my childhood, so I thought it would be nice.

For my sister who is also my MOH I bought her a frame from Personalized Picture Frames - Manufacturer of the original "You Create" personalized picture frame., you can have it engraved with anything you want along thetop and sides, and I put all the sayings she use to tell me as a child. She's 6 years older, so her favorite response to me when I would ask how she would know something was, "because I Know Everything" This was also inexpensive, less than $30 for an 8x10.

Certainly I don't think a gift is necessary, especially if you are paying for everything like we are, but if you would like to get them something, then you should. The dollar amount isn't important, a heartfelt letter would be just as appreciated, I'm sure.

We each wrote long notes to our parents and in-laws. The night before the wedding - i ate dinner just with my mom and dad and sis and FI his Mom and Dad and brother - we each gave them the notes we had written for them. We also gave each a "parent" version of our wedding album - it's identical - just a smaller version!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
