Help finding a local officiant for our AHR - Dallas, TX

Recommended Posts

Hi girls,

We're looking for an officiant to do a quick legal ceremony at our AHR. Non-denominational, preferably.

I tried Googling this and came up with: officiant

Looks kinda cheesy though cheesy.gif

I'd rather it be someone that has been recommended, KWIM?

If you know of anyone who would be up for doing this, would you please pass along their info? It will be held near Downtown Dallas on June 27th, 2009.

Also, any clue on how much someone would charge for this service?? We don't want to go full-out, just do a brief legal ceremony as a "surprise" to our guests at the AHR (since we can't get legally married @ Las Caletas).

TIA!

I don't know of any in Dallas but I googled a few in san antonio when Ryan and I had our legal ceremony and I think she charged us like 75 bucks. She came out to the riverwalk and married us and let me help her write our vows and even made up a cute certificate for our own personal use.

BUMP!!! I still need help with this. Just got in town Friday, doing garage sale yesterday and today, then got a whole lot of other stuff to do this week! And I need to somehow find an officiant for our June 27th "AHR" aka "Legal Wedding Day"!!! Is this even possible?? I keep searching on the net but I have no experience with this... I wish someone in our family had a minister or something to help us out! lol

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
