aaaaaahhh i'm working on mine now and it's SO hard. when it comes down to it, if my whole reception is 3 hours, then like an hour of that will be dinner. how the heck do i narrow it down to just 2 hours of dance-type music? not to mention slip in a couple of slow songs and stuff to satisfy the old-folk?!?! SO HARD!

oh, and i hate the freakin' electric slide but i know people will expect it! *sigh*

I started working on mine and it is SO hard!!!!!!! I want to make sure we have more than enough music. I don't want to come down to repeating a song or searching for something else! But I have our ceremony, 1 - 1 1/2 hours of cocktails, dinner for 1-2 hours and then depending on how long dinner is we have 3-4 hours of dancing!!!!! I need ALOT of songs!!!!

i wish i needed that much music ... my whole problem is that other than the few songs for the ceremony, all i need is about 1 hours of dinner music and 2 hours of dancing music! (we have a mariachi trio for cocktail hour)

when i first starting gathering up the songs i wanted, i had about FIVE HOURS of music for dinner, LOL. it's impossible to narrow it down to under 20 songs! stupid FI actually wants a say in what gets played too LOL, so that makes it even harder! i just think it's much easier to come up with 100 songs you love than it is to come up with the perfect 15-20, ya know?

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
