We recently decided to hold our wedding reception at Jelly Fish. We're having the ceremony at PPC on May 31, 2010. It comes out to be slightly cheaper than doing both ceremony and reception at the resort and also Mayte at Jelly Fish said that we can stay as long as we want whereas the resort package is only for a three-hour reception. I'm excited! I've read good reviews about this place so hopefully it will all work out well.

I've seen where some had to pay $5 per person to transport their group to Jellyfish and some said its free. Just want to know what it is now. I have been communicating with the restaurant, but I usually have so many questions, I forget that one.

Also I found out they only accept cash. :-( I don't like carring that much cash when traveling and ATMs usually have a limit.

Also, double check on the cash payment thing because I paid with a Mastercard, not cash.
Thanks I will send them a message this week to confirm menu and other essentials. So I will confirm payment then.

Maybe they let their wedding couples pay with cards, but it's even said on trip advisor that the restaurant doesn't take CC's from regular diners. TLC if you're in regular contact with the restaurant and could ask and clear up this question- it would help a lot of us planning dinners there soon. I'm not having my wedding there (wish I was but committed to my resort too early and then found this and can't change now) but DH and I will be making a dinner trip there and we really don't want to carry cash for that down there.

Let us know what you find out!

Hi Nikki,

I confirmed that they will take a credit card - they said the menu they sent was outdated. I will be sure to keep you updated with any additional information I receive.

Also, they quoted me $6 per person for the transportation and the website says free.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
