Canadians: Where did you get your silk rose petals?

Hi everyone!

 

I'm having difficulty finding silk rose petals for our ceremony. We want them covering the aisle and then the reception tables. We are looking to order 3000 but I am having trouble finding a place that has hot pink rose petals that will ship them for a decent price. I've seen a few places where I wanted to order from them but then shipping to Canada ends up costing a gazillion dollars. So, brides from Canada, where did you find yours Thanks for your help!

I didn't have rose petals, but I did see them at Micheals in the bridal section....not sure of the price/amount though.

At our michaels, they only had white....hmmm...there is another one in town I might have to give them a call. Thanks though!

Hi Lisa,

You might want to check with your WC on whether they allow silk rose petals for the aisle. I have heard some places only allow real flower petals to keep the environment clean.

I was going to say the same thing. My resort said we could have them, but we had to make sure they were cleaned up (all of them) or we would be charged a fee for the cleaning. They are really bad for the fish, so they do not want them blowing into the water and they are also really bad for the environment, so they want to make sure they are all cleaned up.

 

My resort offered them for a very cheap price so that we would get real ones and not use the fake ones. So be sure to ask your WC first, before you buy them.

Thanks for the advice! It's fine for our resort though, and they arrange for free set up and clean up of them

Wow I never knew about the clean up fee at some resorts for silk petals. I've seen red, pink and white petals at Micheals.
