Well, I quit using Herbal Essences when I bought Redken (for Coloured Hair) and I quickly discovered your tip about applying to the roots, because it felt greasy (eew!). So now I've stopped doing that. It is soft, and health-ish... but really not what I'd expect from such expensive stuff! My hair is just past my shoulders and I use conditioner about the size of a quater through the ends. But it still doesn't have oomph to it!

Oooh, I see where you're going with this! lol. I only use one other thing that my hairdresser sold to me. It's like a re-hydrator because I straighten my hair. It's by Chi (I think)

I think that's what the CHI is suppose to do. It's called "Iron Guard" It says:
Thermal protection spray. Protects from the hottest heat tools.

What about something volumizing? A long time ago, I went to a hairdresser and she used a "volumizing tonic" (that's what she called it! lol) and it worked super well, but the place has since closed down. She also sold me some crappy aveda product that I COMPLETELY hated!

I don't know why there is so much product out there!! lol, it's confusing for people like me!!

I must have missed this thread the first time around. Thanks for the info. I have very fine, limp hair (although it tends to get relatively "big" in the humidity). Are there any certain products you recommend? Thanks! My hair is an embarressment...you'd probably gag if you saw it! And I know I need to start taking if care of it...like yesterday...so it looks good come October. IKES!

I just saw this thread also!! I have naturally wavy hair and it gets really big in humidity. I like how it looks here in Dry Colorado but not in Mexico.. Any suggestions. Brian likes my hair straight and down, but I dont think that will happen for the wedding.

so your hair needs protein then moisture.....a protein shampoo (extreme )by redken...and a light condtionor because it could make your hair to flat.....(clear moiture ) by redken...but a really great trement for your hair would be CAT it is a protein treatment it repairs the cuticle of your hair and makes it stronger...you shampoo your hair and then spray it in for 5 min then rinse remeber it does not make your hair soft it is strenghting your hair so you need conditioner after... you would love light gel because it would help with body but weight down a little frizz.... let me know pm if you need too.....

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
