Just wanted to bump this up. I would love to see another brides pictures of a wedding tat Casa Velas. Also, is anyone concerned about safety for guests who are going to party at the clubs in town? In the past I have had a great time going out in PV at night but lately I have been hearing scary stories about shady situations at night clubs (counterfeit money being passed around, credit card number theft, robberies etc..). I dont want to worry about any of my guests getting robbed or worse trying to get a cab back to the hotel late a night.

No. Your question doesn't have to do with Casa Velas, but PV in general. Puerto Vallarta is amazing. If you are scared, please think hard about having a DW. It might cause you a lot of stress.

Sorry! I thing my post sounded a little harsh. I think I should explain. There's a lot of bad press about Mexico right now, so if you decide to have a DW in Mexico, you'll have to be prepared to defend your decision to a lot of your guests that may not understand it. You'll have to be your weddings biggest cheerleader!!! So if you are really worried about traveling to Mexico, your guests will be too.

However, this is the right place to get all of the info you need. smile03.gif

Back to Casa Velas... wedding pics anyone?

Thanks for explaining Mel&B. :)

Edna, those pictures look GREAT! Thanks for sending them. My future husband and i discussed everything last night and we have decided to move forward with Casa Velas and plan our wedding for April. The staff has been incredibly friendly and when we visited the property in Feb we fell in love with it so we are VERY excited!

Hi Andi,

The ceremony will be in the atrium area of Casa Velas, the cocktail hour will be by the pool and the reception will be at the private beach club. I am soooo excited! :) We have hired Incredible Weddings for the event design and planning and so far things have been really easy. I am hiring Paulina for photography. I am a little worried about the cost of rooms for my guests but Im sure it will all work out. Velas Vallarta is right there and the marriott is across the street.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
