Okay…. So… where to begin??

 

My FI asked me to marry him on Nov 22, 2007 and the planning did not really begin until about September of 2008!!!...

 

We decided to go with the resort Blau Varadero in Cuba! we chose this location because it is known as the Miami of Cuba!!!... We wanted to go to a place where it was relatively safe and fun!!

 

 

This is my e-ring! Just the side of it, I love the detailing on it.. it makes it look so vintage!!

these are our rings together, my e-ring with wedding band and FI’s wedding band.. he vouched for the bling :)

once we established where we were going, I DIY’d our invitations, I ordered in a custom stamp which had our message on it. I stamped the pages, sprinkled embossing powder on the letters and then used an embossing gun to heat it up so that the lettering would be raised! I also added a layer of vellum to make it fancier!

after we figured out how many people were going to be coming, I put together a few things for OOT bags … we have a pretty large group so it didn’t fit the budget to get fabric bags and a million items.. this is what I came up with… the only thing missing is the hand sanitizers and mini sunscreens

we also added a little note for each bag, expressing our gratitude for everyone coming and how excited we are that the time has come so fast!!

I didn’t buy an “actual” sand ceremony kit, but I made one myself and this is what I came up with!

Our guest book is fairly simple but we like it none the less!!

Much of the other details will be done at the resort when we get there! Im using the flowers that they provide us with, however there is A LOT of selection!!.. The planning didn’t go as terribly as I had thought it would go, we are bringing in our own photographers from home and I have to say I could not have achieved this as smoothly as I did without BDW!!! I hope this helps out someone.. and will maybe throw out some ideas for people!!! We leave on Monday to Cuba and I am getting REALLY excited!!!!

OMG Jax you are SOOOO close now!!!!! I love your DIY invites, they're gorgeous and your dress is going to look amazing!! I'm excited to see how you do your hair because we have the same length and mine's straight too! :)

 

You must be SOOOO excited and anxious ... I know I am and I still have over a week!! :-p Congrats sweetie and can't wait to see the "married" pics when you get back!! **hugs**

I cannot believe you're only 5 DAYS OUT NOW!!! Holy crow, are ya nervous? I know you're excited..hell, it's not my wedding and I'm excited for you!

 

Everything looks great, and your sand ceremony stuff looks like mine. lol Love your invites and your cake kit..and your dress is divine! Can't wait to see those pics start comin' in! Have a GREAT trip and a WONDERFUL wedding girl..enjoy!

      Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010.       Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations.
