Okay so yes this is my 3rd wedding - we are eloping though because it will be his second - this is my dress Click the image to open in full size. and I had thought I would just have a tiara - but part of me is thinking of a veil too because it looks so beautiful in pictures...i was thinking a veil that goes down to the bum or a little further - thanks in advance for your suggestions :)

A shorter veil would be nice. Have you thought any about just putting flowers in your hair? It sounds from your post that the wedding will be more low-key, so maybe some no-fuss but gorgeous flowers? The style of your dress is gorgeous, by the way! It looks like the type of dress that lends itself to almost any accessory. I think you could easily get away with not wearing a veil if you decide.

As far as this being your 3rd wedding, don't feel bad! No one on this forum will judge you for your past. Welcome to "happily ever after" :) Best wishes.

I think you should wear what will make you most beautiful, and if you like the idea of wearing a veil then go for it. Really how often to you get this opportunity. I would take the optimists point of view and say you lucky girl 3 dresses 3 veils. To be loved so much by so many you must be special. Good luck

Thank-you both so much for your replies cheesy.gif I have a veil upstairs in my drawer that I pulled out and stuck in my hair last night just for fun - I will consider the flower idea too - I have seen many brides with gorgeous updos with a nice tropical flower in their hair - at least I have lots of time to decide cheesy.gifcheesy.gif

I think flowers would go well in your hair, or some sort of white strappy headbands with crystals on them to give off a greek goddess vibe. BTW, where did you get your dress? It's pretty.

And it doesn't matter that it's your 3rd wedding. It's ok to look just as beautiful for this wedding as you did for the first two. If you want traditional, go traditional. If you want modern, go modern. Do what you want!

Hi Saphire - my dress is from the Alfred Sung paradise series - most of them are chiffon and light and airy Paradise Style 7066 - I bought my dress at Windsor Bridal in Toronto - I had bought another dress - but when I tried it on there was a hole in it so I was thrilled because it had been so heavy and I didn't want it anymore - so I tried on maybe 6 dresses until this one and fell in love with it!

Thanks for the kind words - sometimes I feel like I am doing the Elizabeth taylor thing - at least I am always the bride instead of the bridesmaid LOL

Girl, wear what you want ..it's your wedding day! And don't worry about the number. This is not my first trip to the show either and you better believe I'll be dancin down the aisle in virgin white, veil and AND tiara if thats what my heart desires:)

I think you should try them all, including the updo with flowers and just pick whichever one shouts "This is it!" to you.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
