TV Show "Say Yes To The Dress Wedding Dress"

Recommended Posts

I know this is an old thread - but I'm obsessed with the show and my fiance isn't interested in talking about it. Did anyone catch last night's episode? Two of their brides brought their fiances with them. I'm so glad that my fiance saw part of the episode b/c he accidentally saw a picture of my dress and was so upset! I didn't care because he won't remember in 4 months - and it looks totally different in person but this made him feel better about it.

I love this show too!! We usually don't go out too often on Friday nights because we're exhausted, so I love getting into my pjs and watching the dress shopping experience!! (And dreaming of buying those expensive dresses if I ever won the lottery! LOL)

I did see last nights episode about fiance's coming and at first I was wondering if I should have included my FI, but then when the FI didn't like the dress she loved, I realized I made the right choice not bringing him. My FI would have had lots of comments and I would have hated if I loved a dress and he didn't. I figure that on our wedding day he'll love whatever I wear because he'll be so happy and won't have stressed about it for months!

Glad to see there are so many other girls out there who are obsessed with wedding dresses!!!

I too am a "Say Yes to the Dress" junky!! My FH makes comments every friday night...is "your show on AGAIN?" Ha ha!! I agree that if i brought him i would totally stress about it. When i was trying on dresses i found one that i absolutely loved...well there was one similar (but way more expensive) on the show. Well he happened to see it and tell me that it looked like a wadded up curtain! So then i started showing him other pics of similar dresses and the same comment came out! I went a completely different direction and did not even give him a chance to comment! HA!!!

I LOVE Say Yes to the Dress!! And I LOVE Randy!! He seriously pickes THE perfect dress for every bride without even blinking an eye - he's awesome! I would love to go to Kleinfelds just so Randy could put me in the perfect dress. Too bad most of their dresses are way more than I want to spend. Although I have seen a few episodes where the brides say their budget is like $1000...but then the salespeople just look at them like they're crazy, lol.

There was a mini marathon this past Friday night - and they showed an old episode where one of the brides tried on my dress! She didn't buy it but I was still so excited to see it! I went to about 4 different bridal stored but I ended up bying my dress there - and though Randy didn't come over while I was trying on dresses, he did come over at the end and I got to take a few pictures with him.

It's a fixture on my DVR.....I NEVER miss an episode, oftentimes re-watching them throughout the week, and I'll freely admit that I look forward to next Friday as soon as the newest episode goes off the air! Keisha is hands-down my favorite consultant, and not only is Randy fabulously talented, but he always makes me giggle with the witty things he says! The only person on the show I can do without is Vera in alterations -- sometimes, I think she gets a little snippier than necessary with some of the brides, when Kleinfeld was in the wrong (she needs to admit that they make mistakes, too)!

I can say with all honestly, that I won't stop watching this show, even after we get married -- I told my FI, as long as he's got his Football, I'll have my bridal shows as long as I want!!! wink.gif

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
