Totally random: Welcoming a new baby donkey to the family...

Recommended Posts

Yup, that's right ... my parents have donkeys at their home in the country (and two horses) and one of the donkeys has been pregnant FOREVER. Well, the gestation period for donkeys is 14 months or MORE (poor things, eh?). So, my parents were a little freaked that Arabella (mum) wouldn't give birth before we left for Cuba (which is in a WEEK)!!! But, she popped out the little guy yesterday morning and he is just SO cute I had to share with all you ladies on here ...

Oh, and he doesn't have a name yet ... so any ideas are welcome! My father wants to name him ... but he's not always the most creative man. LOL

And here's proud grandpa (my dad!) holding the little guy up (he's about 25-30lbs):

He's so cute. I've never seen a baby donkey before. he's got some long leggers. You should name him something to do with your Cuba trip. I'm not good with that kinda stuff so i'll leave it to the other girls to come up with ideas.

Hehehe thanks ladies ... I am a proud donkey aunt, that's for sure! I haven't met the little guy yet, as my parents live about 45 minutes away from me, but I will this week!

Hmmm ... maybe we can call him Che ... smile72.gif

    • Hello!! My fiancé and I are planning on a destination wedding and we are wondering if there are any recommendations for a travel agency to use. I’ve emailed some I found online, but find it tough just communicating through email before we decide where to book. After we book, obviously email is convenient! We are in the Niagara Falls On area and would love to sit and meet with someone but don’t know where to start. Any help is greatly appreciated!! Thank you
    • I’m getting married next May at the Azul Sensatori  in Cancun, I believe they have a hotel specific DJ. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on that versus spending money for an outside vendor and if so any recommendations on a good DJ in that area? Thanks for the help.
