Where to put teenagers?

Recommended Posts

We have about 45 people (still have 4 days for RSVPs) and we are having rounds of 8 or 6. Not sure which. I'm hoping to do a mixture.

Anyway, we have 2-18 year olds and 2-15 year olds coming. I want to put them at the same table, but who do i punish and stick with them.

Even if they are delightful (yeah right), the guests that we seat with them are going to feel like we put them at the extra, left over, kiddie table.

One time I went to a wedding and there happened to be 3 empty seats at our table. Well, we eventually found out that they were vendor's seats. It wasn't said, but we all felt like orphans.

I know it sounds ideal to seat the 4 of them together, but considering your concern about accidentally making a "kiddie table" you may want to consider dividing them up. 2 at one table and 2 at another. kinda' spread them out a bit! :-) And it may be helpful to seat them with people that they know if at all possible, might make it easier if they're at least a little familiar with whoever they're sitting with.

Awww. I also have two 18 yr olds and two 15 yr olds (one of the 18 yr olds, and one of the 15 yr olds are mine), and I consider whoever gets to sit with them will be lucky, they are great. I love their ages, (and I live with them) they are freakin hillarious. Who ever sits at their table will have a great time.

I agree with Kelly! Don't under estimate the ability of a 15 year old to behave appropriately, and actually be entertaining to others. I would not do a "kiddie" table. Spread them around where ever makes sense - like with their parents? Other favorite relatives? It will be fine no matter what :)

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
