Thanks ladies for all the compliments. To be honest with you all I didn't think ab my weight when I went dress shopping. My only concern was that with my large breasts my bras put indentations in my shoulders and they are really bad IMO (no one shopping with me even noticed mainly bc my whole family and almost all my friends have the same issues lol) but once I started dress shopping I didn't even notice it. I shopped at David's Bridal and they had dresses in all sizes. Plus if the dress doesn't fit they put these little panel things in the back so that even though the dress doesn't fit you get to see how it would look. IMO David's has horrible customer service. So I went to the Bridal Boutique in Columbia (if you live in MD lol) and they had gowns in alotta different sizes. If you are worried ab your appearance (which none of you should be bc you're all beautiful and this is your big day so who cares what others think :-) ) schedule yourself during the off season at an early morning appt. I started gown shopping in Jan which was really busy with May/ June brides having 1st fittings etc. But by the time it was my turn to have my 1st 2nd 3rd 4th etc lol fittings the shop was empty bc my wedding was in Nov. So in conclusion you'll all be fine!!!

Ok lemme get outta here lol.

Hey ladies, I just wanted to take a few minutes and stop by. I know I havenâ€t been on here for a while; itâ€s been really hectic with the wedding being moved to the US, and finishing up what has been the semester from hell at school. I just wanted to thank you all for all of your help, especially Lisa, who has been nothing but encouraging and kind to me throughout my struggle with my weight. I never thought that I would find the kind of support from a website that I have received from you women. You have made me laugh at myself, and accept the fact that Iâ€m never going to be a sample size 2, and thatâ€s okay. You also helped me to realize that Iâ€m beautiful no matter what pant size I happen to be wearing this month (which is back up to a 16, but hey, itâ€s smaller than when I started, so Iâ€ll take it!), and that if I slack off and donâ€t go to the gym one night, it doesnâ€t mean that Iâ€m not working hard to be at my best.

I canâ€t believe how much has changed since I first found this thread what, like 5 months ago now. My wedding venue has changed, as well as just about everything else having to do with Andrew and Iâ€s big day, and you all have helped keep me sane through everything. I truly think that BDW is a one of a kind website, and the members are some of the most amazing, sweet, and unique women that I have ever had the opportunity to interact with. Thank you all for your support, advice, and ability to help me look at things from a different point of view. 

I completely understand love, because I feel the exact same way. I really wish that I could do such an awesome thing for FI (and a little ego stroke for myself) but alas...

BUT! They love us exactly as we are, they don't need pictures to remind them of that. Who needs pictures when you can have the real thing? wink.gif

And, Congrats Lisa! You deserve it because you're amazing!

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
