Was the photog nice ? Were the pics flattering? Was it uncomfortable?
I'm thinking of doing it and appreciate any advice/info!
Great that you've joined in the fun. I know that we've previously discussed BD photos somewhere here! lol Personally, I would LOVE to do some, but I just don't have the funds! sad.gif I wouldn't be scared or anything. This is how I look, this is who I am and you have to be proud of that! Are you thinking about doing some?

SPF25? Why would you need that between your legs?! lol I'm glad it worked out great. I should try to find somewhere in my town that sells it.

LOL! i was huffing and puffing pretty embarassingly at times ... need to do something about that! having curves is one thing, but being so out of shape that you're panting like a dog is another.

Hey Ladies!

So I mostly lurk and have only posted on this thread a few times but I love this thread! All of the ladies here are beautiful! I too have curves regardless of the size I am. I am trying to drop some lbs and get in better shape before the wedding- we will see how it goes!

I wanted to share something with you ladies this morning though. I have been emailing photographers in the U.S. to find someone to travel to Mexico with us. I have simply been asking what kind of deal or package they could give us if we pay for travel. Most responses have been great. However this morning I received a response that well, just pissed me off! I am so heated that I just had to post something. Maybe I'm overreacting but I feel that not only is this photographer being unprofessional but insulting as well. He comes across to me as someone that is only interested in Supermodel weddings that mega bucks have been spent on. Here is his response to me...

“My questions for you are....... Is this a shoe string budget wedding in Mexico? As a portfolio building experience I do not want to take on a job that reflects inexpensive or cheap, but in exotic locations. Second, what do you look like? Are you fit? Would you be an interesting attractive bride that my potential clients would want to see themselves as. How did you hear about us studio i do studioido wedding photography bryce jenkinson How many photographers are you currently shopping?”

I have not responded yet. I am trying to find the words that I want to say. I even find the question of our budget insulting. What do you girls think? I am being oversensitive about my curves?

Steph, I just happened to come across your post and the words you are looking for are:

censored.gif YOU!!!! Seriously, are you f-ing kidding me? That is the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard! Totally unprofessional, that guy sounds like a censored.gif! Same goes for his comment about the budget thing and "cheap" looking.... OMG! So the answer is NO you are not being over sensitive.

OMG!!!! No, you are absolutely NOT being over sensitive. Not only would I reply to him and tell what a total censored.gif a$$ he is, but I think I'd also follow up and see where I could report him to - there has to be some kind national association for professional photographers. That is just SO unprofessional and tacky - it's just beyond words.

I mean I understand that a photographer may want to use beautiful people in their portfolio, but you can NOT come out and present it that way. This is a job. If you take the job and the pictures are something you want to use in your portfolio, then great - and if not, then that's fine too. But you don't insult people by asking about their budget and how attractive they are.

If I had gotten that email I don't even think I would have had patience to type an email response. I think I might have just called him and went off!! I have absolutely tolerance for ignorant people.

    • Hi everyone! I have been doing lots of research on various wedding venues all around Mexico, my fiance wants a destination wedding and I am happy to have a wedding wherever so long as the vibe is right and guests are happy!  I have been seriously looking at Cabo Azul and was trying to find potential costs for them, but only found a page about their wedding costs from 2010. Does anyone have any updated information on costs / reviews they would like to share of this venue? Or advice in general, anything helps. Thanks so much, happy wedding planning to all!
    • Hello everyone, I am dreaming of a wedding in Costa Rica and was wondering if I could get any help with venues and wedding planners. I am thinking Tamarindo because a close friend of mine lives there and I've been in town more than a couple of times, she's being helpful but is at a loss when it comes to this subject really so I was wondering if anyone here had recommendations. I am not closed to other town suggestions either, if I happen to find a good place and staff somewhere else. These are the places I have so far, has anyone had any experience with any of them?  Stay In Tamarindo Luxury Villas in Costa Rica Luxury Villas Pinilla Tropical Homes of Costa Rica The Point Luxury Villa Thank you so much for your help!
